Does anyone plan to buy a switch when animal crossing comes out?

I got cave in and got switch during smash bro ultimate hype moment, haha. Safe to say, I'll be able to buy and play the Animal Crossing game when its released.

However, I cant see why they wouldn't released Animal crossing theme for Switch console itself. I'm pretty sure they would do one for them, seeing as how theyve been doing it for nearly each popular games they did so far? Pokemon let's go, Smash bro, Mario's one, (and Zelda one too? I cant remember this one, can someone correct this one part?)

yes I'm planning on doing this! I haven't caved in yet, even though my friends want me to play Overcooked and Smash with them lol. I really am waiting for the new game AND maybe an AC bundle, if they are coming out with one. I know they did this for Pokemon. I'd love to have an AC styled, limited edition Switch.

I picked my switch up in March of last year.
I figured we'd get AC switch eventually, but during the time, I wanted Stardew and Mario Odyssey. They are fun games, but I'm ready for AC.

We have a Switch already, but it's my boyfriend's. Since he plays AC as well and I like to take my game out with me, I'm not sure what we'll do.. I think I might save up to buy a special AC Switch if they release one. Hopefully they'll release a bundle for a good deal! I love my ACNL Nintendo 2DS XL, I hope they make a Switch in the same style

I guess you mean Harvest Moon when you said HM? Because then you can save more money. Harvest Moon isn't Harvest Moon anymore and what you are looking for is Story of Seasons. The original Developers can't use the Harvest Moon name anymore, because they don't have the rights. They are now publishing the games outside of Japan differently and the old publisher is just still using the name.

Back to the topic:
I bought a Switch last year, when a local store had a good offer. Also got a few games with it. I really wanted to play Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart, but a new Animal Crossing game was another main reason. I haven't played in years and really want to start a new town in a new game and hoped Nintendo would announce a new game, which luckily came true after a while.

I didn't buy the switch, too busy for work and other social life. Waiting for the AC special edition switch if available in the future. Don't want to buy the regular version. But who knows if there is special edition...

I waited 2 whole years basically waiting for them to announce a newer version of the switch. There's a lot of really weird flaws in the switch that were really easy to avoid in the first place. For example, the kick stand doubling as a protective cover for the micro sd card. I was hoping by now they would have released a newer version..If they make a switch bundle for AC 2019, I will buy it. I would only assume they would do something special for the release of the AC 2019, since by the time it releases it will be about 6 years since the last game in the series. I have my hopes up!

I have one, gifted from a friend a few months ago. Also, it would've been hard to wait on a console that I badly wanted for other games, for an AC themed Switch that we didn't have announced yet (got it before AC Switch announcement) let alone for release lol. But I'll be super jealous because they'll be so cute, no doubt! Maybe I can get a skin for my current one at least?

I CONFESS! I bought one last year as I was convinced that the next animal crossing was going to come out last year. I don't regret it, but my bank account sure did!

I don't have a definitive plan just yet. Right now I'm mostly just wondering if I should get a Switch, now that there's both an Animal Crossing and a Pokemon game coming soon. I think the most important thing holding me back are the prices!
