Does anyone still play?

I actually started with New Leaf and wanted to try going backwards to Wild World--mainly to see how things had changed and because people had said that villager dialogues were more varied and stuff--but I looked at some screenshots and... the graphics hurt my eyes. ._. Also, you can't unlock the shop upgrades anymore due to the lack of wifi apparently? So sorry to seem negative but I would like to try Wild World if upgrading the shops wasn't impossible!

When I originally played Wild World and Wi-Fi was available, I never used it. Therefore, I never got the salon or the final store upgrade. It never bothered me. If it bothers you, I can see why you'd want to skip the older games.

I don't play Wild World anymore since New Leaf came out. Also I lost the interest of the game. ._.

I tried to! But it was really hard to look focus and concentrate since it seemed more pixelated and blurry..

I'm not sure why tons of people are saying the graphics are hurting their eyes and look bad. They are fine to me.

I still play it, on and off I get addicted and play it everyday, other times I just play it once a week. I got the game over 9 years after it was released, though.

Yeah, but for some reason it keeps freezing. It's kind of weird going back to playing that after playing New Leaf for a few years. When I first got New Leaf, I refused to play it because I didn't like how the game looked. Eventually I started playing it and soon became obsessed, just like Wild World :'D

Ah, love wild world!
I think it may be my favorite animal crossing but I have not played it in a month or two.
I got it when it first came out in like 2005/2006? I played it like everyday until new leaf

I got new leaf a couple days after release, and put wild world to rest for a couple years
i restarted the town a couple months ago

I really got into my used copy yesterday and I really miss how the villagers used to plant flowers around their houses.

I'm probably one of the few who wasn't crazy about Wild World, though I started with the Gamecube version and would play it religiously every day after I got home from school, haha. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but the lack of holidays was a big turn off for me. I like New Leaf the most right now because it takes from all of the AC games and packs it into a great game. It has everything I wanted an AC game to be. <3

I still play too. I found this forum by googling WW friend codes.

No way! Totally how I found this too! I was searching for old WW friends I made, and wandered if they've gone to New Leaf or what since we can only do local play for Wild World now.

You don't need Wi-Fi, only 2 DS systems to have one visit the other. Just like in New Leaf, Wild World allowed you to play local or internet. The local still works, you can still do the upgrades. Thankfully, that wasn't a requirement in City Folk, there'd be some pretty angry fans if they restarted their towns without Wi-Fi upgrades!

I played it yesterday for the first time in years and spent like 40mins picking all the weeds Dx

*cough* put down patterns, weeds don't grow on patterns *cough*

I actually just started my town in WW! I'm super excited since it'll be my first run of WW so it'll be quite the difference from NL! XD

Yeah, they were handy to steal, but flowers seem to be much, much easier to get spread across your town and look after in New Leaf so it's all good.

I do. IMO it's the best AC out yet.

Of course it's the best Animal Crossing yet overall.

Oops - was trying to multi-task and somehow clicked the 'post' button.

Some people who have been playing ACNL since 2013 have just got a little fed up of it, it seems. Who knows what the next Animal Crossing will have in store? I might do a let's play of it, lol.
