Does caffeine effect you normally ?

It used to affect me a lot.. like I got hyperactive from it.
Nowadays I can drink a lot of it and it won't affect me anymore at all,
because I am kind of addicted to it.

I've had to cut down on caffeine over the last few months. I was pretty hooked on energy drinks as a teenager and then I converted to coffee in college. Keeping myself on a strict one coffee a day limit now, which is working out great since I'm finally getting an actual buzz from caffeine again rather than just NEEDING it to stay awake or whatever.

Do you have ADHD? Caffeine tends to have the opposite effect on people with ADHD. I'm the same way... coffee kind of relaxes me and makes me sleepy. I'm trying to get off of it though. It's super addicting and gives me bad withdrawal symptoms/headaches when I go a day or two without it... so I can't just quit cold turkey I have to go slow. Caffeine is a hell of a drug I think there should be warning labels on coffee products ._.

my fridge rn, bottled fraps, canned coffee and tea, pop.. it's ridiculous.. also i think i forgot to buy food

I'm not sure to honest there are a ton of traits associated with ADHD. Though I do suppose I did have a very unhealthy amount of fizzy drinks through child hood to my teens. I have completely cut out fizzy drinks, instead I have 2-3 cups of coffee a day with barely any sugar.

Strange maybe my brain/body doesn't know how to react to sugar properly. :S

It sometimes ups my anxiety, but it's kinda 50/50 whether it'll help me be energized or not. It works often enough that I drink it almost every day though.

It makes me feel gross, im just naturally a morning person and take naps in the afternoon if i didnt get enough sleep.

It depends what form it comes from. Coffee doesn't really effect me too much, unless it's a barista-made takeaway coffee and it kinda gives me a boost. Energy drinks effect me the most, where I'm usually anywhere between energetic or as high as a kite lol. All types of caffeine tend to keep me awake though, but it doesn't stop the tiredness. If I have too much though it gives me a headache or accelerated anxiety lmao

I drink caffeinated beverages all the time, so hardly. I can be affected negatively by not drinking caffeinated beverages, though. If I go long enough without caffeine, I can start to get headaches and I can feel pretty tired. I'm kind of addicted.

I'm very sensitive to it. Yesterday I had half a Kombucha (fermented black tea) and the caffeine in the tea kept me up until almost 2 am, which is very late for me. If I have a soda when I'm tired, it either does just enough to get me through, or it gives me "shaky brain" and I can't focus at all.

I mostly avoid it, except Kombucha because it helps my stomach.

It does sadly. Soda is fine, but things like coffee mess with me one way or another. I rarely have it now after I overdosed around 4-ish years ago during an all-nighter doing an assignment for a class. Even called up my boyfriend in an anxious panic because I thought something was wrong LOL. But he understands as he's a real coffee-drinker. But I'll have some now and then, shame I can't have as much as I want. I love coffee!

Caffeine has little effect on me anymore. Energy Drinks, like those 5 Hour Energy, however....knock me out like a tranquilizer.

caffeine in coffee wakes me up, caffeine in coca-cola/pepsi tires me out.

Caffeine makes me sleepy. I think it’s just something I conditioned my body for though. Since I was little I’ve been drinking coffee and milk right before sleeping. I still do it right before going to sleep. It has no adverse affect like waking me up anything like that.

I need caffeine so I don't have headaches. When I got my wisdom teeth removed I couldn't drink soda because of the carbonation, and I didn't want to drink coffee and the only pain I was in was from the awful caffeine withdrawl headaches. It doesn't help that I've worked at coffee shops since I turned 16.

Caffeine makes me exhausted & it also gives me anxiety, so I have tried cutting it out but...coffee is so good.

It has little effect on me unless I'm feeling anxious, it makes the anxiety worse then. Added a drop of sambuca in a cup of coffee one time and that had a bit of a kick that kept me awake all day but died the next I don't recommend oof.

I think I'm pretty reactive towards it. I'm normally a very lethargic, sleepy person. But I've never consumed energy drinks till last month and when I did... it was like MAGIC. I've been drinking energy drinks one day a week bc that day I'm on campus from 8 am to 9pm and then have to head right to work, not getting home till 3 am. >.< When it kicks in I find myself bouncing my legs, feeling restless, and time seems to go by pretty slowly. When I'm working on something, it has my whole attention and I excel. I just ordered some caffeine pills off amazon so I don't have to drink energy drinks and am expecting them tomorrow!

Caffeine has never effected me. Even when I was a kid, I used to be obsessed with Surge, but it didn't make me hyper. no different than any other soda. My body is weird though. Nothing really sedates me, either. Benadryl, sedatives, nothing. Went through several rounds with my doctor, trying to find something for my insomnia. We didn't succeed, lol.

One or two cups of coffee is standard for me.
Anything beyond that I get the jitters. I don't drink soft drinks :lemon:
