Does caffeine effect you normally ?

Caffeine gives me mania symptoms, depending on where I get it from (coffee from certain places or some energy drinks). But sometimes it'll make me really anxious, and sometimes it doesn't affect me in the slightest.

By normally, do you mean that caffeine normally wakes people up?

Honestly caffeine doesn't do anything to me. It doesn't get me energized, but it also doesn't make me tired. But if I eat or drink something that has a lot of caffeine in it, I get a migraine, so I could live without it.

I get super jittery just from drinking caffeinated soda! I stick with hot chocolate.

I used to only get my caffeine through soda and all that didn't really feel any different but when i started drinking coffee it changed everything now i have to have at least one or two cups to keep me going through out the day although the palpitations i get from caffeine aren't very nice

I used to drink Diet Coke to get my caffeine fix as I read it's the one that has the most in it and I like Coke.
It made my head feel weird sometimes and gave me a bit of a headache.
Even having a glass or two at night with dinner would keep me awake almost all night.
Now I drink caffeine-free Diet Coke.

I tend to avoid caffeine because of anxiety issues, but I do enjoy a hot or cold cup of non-decaf every once in a while, or some good old Pepsi. When I drink it late at night tho, it definitely keeps me from sleeping. Instead of staying up till 3 or 4 am, I'll suddenly be awake till 6 or 7 for example - which is not great. Other than that, coffee just tends to make me poop. :D

For my body it depends on the source of the caffeine. If it is paired with Taurine, I'm wide awake, bouncing up and down, ready to go, and then I crash, and I feel sick for several hours after. If it's just coffee, the most I get is a faster heart rate and a brighter morning. If I don't sleep enough and try to use caffeine to wake me up, I'll just get sick and crash somewhere.

I'm an addict like I need it every day to live to be honest. But if I have too much it gives me REALLY bad anxiety.

I'm mostly pretty fine with caffeine, but I have noticed lately that I get very anxious when I have too much. I don't even know how to describe it, it's not like my heart is racing or so but I just feel very tense/stressed for no apparent reason. I finally figured out a little while ago that it's due to coffee, usually really strong coffee or too many cups in one morning. I now tend to make a weak coffee so I can enjoy a cup or two, but still feel normal :)

Caffeine surprisingly doesn't affect me too much unless I have coffee (I also drink my coffee on the strong side so that could be why). I also don't drink energy drinks so coffee is my only go to for caffeine.

I just realised I didn't even think about how I react to sodas with caffeine or energy drinks, I only answered about my coffee habits! :)

I'm mostly fine with sodas like coca-cola, but I rarely drink these so that's probably why I haven't noticed anything. I do recall though having to do all-nighters often studying for exams (I was horrible at planning both during high school and college), and I drank energy drinks to help keep me awake. I drank too many of them one night and it made me really sick, I had to crawl into bed to try and sleep it off, which as you can imagine wasn't easy.

Depends on what drink the caffeine is from:
  • Coffee - needs to at least have milk, but any type makes me awake but hard to concentrate
  • Energy drinks - in small sips in a long amount of time is fine. Drink a whole bottle or can at a short time = bad times for the heart rate
  • Sodas - not actually bad at keeping me up as long as I don't drink it from the afternoon onwards or else forget about sleeping properly at night
  • Caffeinated teas - good at keeping me awake and a lil bit concentrated. But it can sometimes make you sleepy because of the warmth of the tea lol

I bet fighting the energy drinks to sleep it off was an absolute pain for sure! I used to drink soft drinks very rarely, but now I drink them for some reason. lol

If I haven't had any in a long time, it makes me feel anxious and hyper active when I drink some again, so I prefer to drink decaff because of this.

I haven't really thought about it, but caffeine actually makes me tired. I really don't know why.

I try to relax with the Coca-Colas otherwise I would get sugar withdrawals and regret it later on.

honestly not at all, unless i chug a whole bunch of it (like maybe two litres in one day. don't try it, believe me) which would then cause insomnia lol

Caffeine makes you tired?! O-o

It makes me a little more alert and less sleepy so I drink coffee before long lectures. Sometimes it makes me a little anxious too if the energy it gives me gets channeled incorrectly.

Times have changed, now if I don't drink one cup of coffee a day I get a headache :( and I opted for the solution of buying a coffee maker so I can make a cup every day rather than stopping drinking coffee altogether lol rip
