• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

Does "first part" equal Q1?

Target usually gets cards for games that are coming up real soon, but you do have a point. Luigi's Mansion could come afterwards... (And Animal Crossing before but who knows...)

Seriously, who cares about Luigi's Mansion?? I really hope that they don't delay the game because of THIS :/

Um. I do. It's why I got a 3Ds. Perhaps you never played the original but it has it's cult following and we've been wanting a sequel for a long time. Well at least I have. You act like it's some awful game and how dare it interfere with perfect Animal Crossing...lol I'm sorry but it's a good game and the sequel will most likely be good too.

AC getting pushed back a month or a few weeks isn't going to kill anyone.

Um. I do too. Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, and Zelda were the three reasons I purchased a 3DS. Sucky part is they keep delaying AC and LM. You need to try Luigi's Mansion if you're that oblivious. I promise you'll get hooked.

Are you sure? D:

I do care about Luigi's Mansion. It was one of the games I really enjoyed back on the GCN. However, I do not tolerate it coming out before Animal Crossing New Leaf. Animal Crossing was announced an entire year before Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon.

And no, I seriously doubt Animal Crossing New Leaf is coming out "Q1". It looks to be a summer release at soonest now.

Luigi's Mansion wasn't that good of a game in my opinion. Anyways..with as long as we have been waiting for New Leaf, I have to agree they should not release LM before it. When they first revealed Animal Crossing it was speculated that it would be a launch title for the 3DS or be coming a few months after..and here we are, still waiting for even a date.

Yeah. It's been driving me insane! Ever since my first trailer viewing back in August, I've been so excited for this! I was hoping for a Q1 release, soon after Christmas, but that's not happening it seems. And Q2 doesn't look promising either from the looks of it. I can understand why, though (somewhat).
Animal Crossing's North American release was a few months later than Japan's while both Wild World and City Folk's North American's release dates were only around a month later, probably from higher technology/shorter games (as a guess).
Why this one's taking so long, I'm guessing, could probably have something to do with everything from each game being added in and then some making it probably the longest of the series so far. All those mayor event directions, what the animals say (with new personalities added), written words, etc... It all needs to be translated. Takes a lot of time to do all that I bet. And to debug the game, too.
Chances are, like the original Animal Crossing game, New Leaf might not be released in North America till near the middle of the year because of all that...
Hopefully not, though... Sooner would be better. They've got to have more than two or three translators to pull it off. Otherwise the timing could be a lot worse...
I'm going to keep waiting for it no matter how long it takes. That's how determined I am to get this game! Not giving up yet!

As far as I've been seeing by the 3ds generals on vg, the other big titles are taking over February and March. That really just leaves April and May for acnl.

Luigi's Mansion is meant for people who are looking for a certain type of experience. It's got quite a few survival horror elements to it. So I'd say people who like survival horror are more likely to like it than people who do not.
