Dream villagers and why you chose them?

Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to post each of your dream villagers (or just a handful if you want) and why you chose all of them!

here's my 10:

Dom - I like having one of each personality type, and he was truly the only jock I could stand. It's hilarious seeing a chubby, cute sheep talk about running 5000 miles lol
Diana - my snooty! chosen over Whitney/Vivian for more species diversity
Lolly - my birthday buddy! I also love cats irl and had to have one on my island!
Julian - first villager I became attached to in NL and just had to bring him over, also love his aesthetic overall
Rolf - chosen over chief for more species diversity, but I love him because I think he represents the cranky personality perfectly!
Marina - the octopi are such a unique species and I really wanted one, I like more cute villagers so she was chosen over the other two.
Sherb - LOVE his simple design, and wanted a change from Beau from my NL town!
Cherry - I grew to love her from pocket camp honestly! Love her vibes and aesthetic, the piercings on her ears really get me :>
Blanche - not quite sure? I love the ostriches as a species and picked her out, she has a really nice palette!
Audie - not a fan of the peppy personality either, but I fell in love with Audie once she was revealed! Gorgeous colors and fits PERFECTLY on a deserted island!

Mine are:
- Mac: my starter. He became my best friend and I can't think about my island without him. He's a cute bulldog and he is my pal and he's there for me. Yeah xd
- Static: he's a purple squirrel with a low voice. I fell in love with him when I knew how savage he was in AC GC. I know he is nicer rn, but I still love him.
- Coco: I love her creepy design. She's cute, nothing like looking at her hollow eyes and mouth,,,,, blank expression...
- Beau: I don't think I would have him if he wasn't my starter lazy. Just because I like way too many villagers. But he is here and he is fun. I headcon him as a stoner. I love finding him looking at absolutely nothing for hours.
- Wolfgang: He's also one I don't know I would have him if I didn't find him in a island tour. He's very handsome and I love having him around.
- Dotty: I wasn't going to have her, she took Bangle's place, but I found her and discovered her eyes glow red when she is surprised. I found that so amusing and creepy. So I bought her and there she is.
- Ankha: I just... I want to have the pretty cats. That's it. She's goals.
- Clay: creepy.
- Lucky: also creepy. Maybe it's a pattern?
- Tom: same reason as Static, kind of. I like his :3 face, he's awesome, I don't know.
- Kyle: He's awesome, a memelord, a disaster. I love him.

I don't have 10 dream villagers but the ones I do have:

Kiki: One of my first villagers in Wild World. Also had her in GameCube and City Folk, she was one of only two "dreamies" I had upon getting NL and I did get her. She is still in my New Leaf town. I have so many good memories associated with Kiki and she will always be my favorite girl.

Ribbot: I also had him in every single pre-NL game, and made him my other dreamie for New Leaf. He is my other nostalgic villager and is second only to Kiki in my favorites list.

Bianca: She was my random Peppy move-in at the beginning of NH and I did not expect to like her so much. However, her personality is so cute, and I love her house. I pretty much decided she's not going anywhere about a week into NH.

Sylvana: I saw a picture of her online around the time Wild World came out. (She was only in Animal Forest e+). I thought she was so cute and was so sad she wasn't in Wild World. I kept coming back to her when City Folk and then New Leaf were released, but she didn't return. Then Nintendo announced the Welcome Amiibo expansion for New Leaf. Only issue was I had 10 villagers in my New Leaf town that I was attached to. So I KNEW I had to have her in New Horizons. I bought several Amiibo packs but did not get her card. I found someone giving her away on Twitter, so I instantly snapped her up. After 10 years, I FINALLY have Sylvana in my town!

Diana: My best friend in New Leaf and the only mega popular villager I really like. I have her Amiibo though, so no rush to get her moved in.

Octavian: I had him in Wild World and thought he was absolutely freaking hilarious. He was also a resident in my New Leaf town so I invited him when I found him on an island. I wasn't going to keep him forever, but he is just so endearing.

Sterling: He’s a knight in shining armor and fits the typical jock stereotype - big and buff.

Merengue: I love her design and I actually won her from a giveaway back in the New Leaf days. Had to have her back and I got lucky as she was the very first villager I saw on the mystery islands.

Phoebe: I started with her and she’s my favourite uchi. She’s the only uchi whose design I like.

Audie: I wanted a new peppy and I favour the wolves.

Kitty: I was going through the list of snooty types when I first started playing New Leaf and she stood out the most. She’s my number 1.

Raymond: As soon as I learned there was a villager with my name, I knew I had to have him on my island.

Kiki: Not a dreamy at first, but she grew on me and she's never leaving.

Sherb: Best goat in the game, I love him!
Raymond: Not to jump on the Raymond hype train, but I love cats and smug villagers and I wear glasses so perfect
Static: Another og
Punchy: I wanted another lazy to be Sherb's best friend so I chose Punchy!

Oh man, okay, so I have a lot of typical popular villagers but..
Merengue: I adore cute themes and she's just.. so sweet? She's a strawberry horned rhino who loves to cook and just wants to run her own cafe and I had her randomly in new leaf and it was good!
Lolly: Same as Merengue! She came to my Island in New Leaf and I fell in love!
Gayle:AN ALLIGATOR WITH A HEART SNOUT! She's wonderful
Raymond: He's.. He's basically my best friend/pseudo partner? Like, they both love math and look like nerds and are a bit snooty and smug and .. yes!
Judy: Bi-pride bear! Also, she's.. the best personality type!
Renee: She's a big sister yankee rhino! She looks like she'd beat up my bullies and then make me some delicious hot milk! I adore her!
Wolfgang: Reminds me very much of my dead grandpa. Had him in pocket camp for a bit and he made me cry...
Bob: he's the funniest animal crossing character. that's it
Dom: Best jock because he doesn't look like a jock.....
Zucker: He's a takoyaki octopus! It's sorta gorey and scary for him but.. I love the concept! Food based villagers are wild!

I love your list! Very diverse I also had Beau in NL and was charmed by Sherb's cuteness, he's now my dreamie as well. And Rolf!!! He's my second favorite cranky, his design is really cool and he definitely suits the cranky personality!
I consider all of my villagers dreamies but I'm separating three because although I did love and consider them dreamies at first... my opinion of them is shifting a bit!
Molly: I had her in my NL town and I just got too attached to her, I needed her on my island! I know a lot of people find the normal villagers boring but they're one of my favorites and Molly is just perfect for the personality. She just seems sweeter to me! Also, love her simple
design.
Apollo: Similar story as Molly except I had him in the Gamecube version so I do think I'm a bit clouded by nostalgia, haha but I just have a huge soft spot for him. Plus his catchphrase is cute, I love hearing him say pah!
Sherb: similar reasons as you! Love his simple design, I think it's so cute. Sherb is just more endearing to me than the rest of the lazies.
Frita: I really love her design as well and I personally love the uchi personalities. She was one of my starting villagers so I got attached and refuse to let her go!
Felicity: I also had her in my NL town! I just love how stylish she is, she suits the peppy personality really well. I love a lot of peppys tbh, its one of my favorite personalities, but Felicity won over Bluebear because I became closer to Felicity quicker
Ketchup: I have always wanted Ketchup! She's a cute lil tomato, how can you not? But since she wasn't present in NL until welcome amiibo I decided to wait until NH to get her! Her and Felicity hang out ALL the time and it's very cute, felt like getting Ketchup was meant to be since she fits into my island so well❤
Willow: Also had her in NL... I just really love sheep villagers! She's always been my favorite snooty. I love how her catchphrase is bo peep and I have this headcanon that she's a famous designer but, surprisingly, prefers the quaint life so she decided to move to an island and keep designing in secret.

Klaus: Was my forced camper and I was determined to get him out because I wanted Julian again... but he really grew on me. I love his whole concept and he seems clearly inspired by ancient Rome which I admire! He's just really cool, although... I have to admit that I kind of want Marshal now... I know... I know... but he reminds me of one of my favorite artists so I kind of need him now LOL.
Tia: I just admire her because she's cute tbh... I mean she's a teapot! I may switch her out in all honesty, need a villager I feel a Connection with.
Bam: Same as Tia.. I honestly just got him because he was cute and I am a sucker for freckles but... I think I'm going to replace him! I've had Bill in the Gamecube version so I kinda want him back but I'm also attached to Flip and want him back too... decisions decisions...

Zucker: he's cute and made of food, and my favorite octopus villager
Ken: ninja chicken? hell yeah! plus i like his dark aesthetic
Roscoe: again, dark aesthetic, i liked Julian in my NL town as my horse villager, but my NH town is more spooky, so he fits in perfectly
Coco: yeah she's pretty popular but i love the questionability of a living coconut/gyroid
Kyle: if i had to pick any villager that best matches my vibe, it would be Kyle
Bob: i've always wanted Bob in my NL and WW town but never got ahold of him.. maybe i'll get better luck in NH?
Aurora: my favorite villager in NL, i really want her in NH too
Sherb: i like his basic color pattern
the rest are a tie between Lolly, Snake, Wolfgang, and Bill

 

[That Marshal Fangirl]

Marshal: My darling, my dear, and the light of my life. The first dream villager I ever had, before I even understood what that was. I've never been so grateful to have a villager's amiibo card.

Diana: I love absolutely everything about her design. I'm a pastel-loving girl by nature, so anything in that color spectrum with a cute/pretty vibe is a win in my book.

Fauna: Aside from the adorable factor, I love that she's designed to look like a real deer. The little spots on her head really make it.

Stitches: The teddy bear look is precious and steals my heart every time. I just wanna hug him.

June: I think it was the little flower in her hair that initially drew me to her, but her blue eyes are strikingly pretty too.

Judy: Pretty much Diana's description, if I'm being honest. Her huge sparkly eyes are a plus as well.

Julian: I'd probably love him regardless since he's a unicorn, but he was the first villager to move into my New Leaf town after the starting five. This adds a certain sentimentality to him.

Ketchup: It seems I have a thing for quirky or iconic looks that stand out from the rest while still remaining cute. Tomato duck for the win!

Audie: She was a surprise dreamie. I found her design neat, but didn't see myself having her on my island. When I won her by dumb luck, though, she quickly made my list of permanent villagers. I can definitely see why she's popular.

Sherb: I've never been fond of the goats in Animal Crossing. However, there's just something about him that makes him the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Seeing his sweet face every day makes me smile.

I've got a couple I have several villagers in my town I'm never letting go of but not 100% sure they count as 'dream' villagers so I'll post the two that do:
Dobie - I never met him before this game but I appreciate that he was in game cube. I was looking through villagers to decide my favorite one a month back and though I'd never met him before, I decided that he was the one. He's in my town now through a trade with my friend, and I absolutely love him! His house gives me strong author or retired detective vibes (mostly the latter) and that's pretty neat. I also LOVE cranky personalities if they're old, and Dobie is the oldest boi. Love him.
Lucky - I would not personally seek trading for Lucky, or getting him through means other than stumbling upon him, but if I did I would PAMPER him. He's always made me sad for as long as I've known of his existence, because I never got mummy vibes from him. I was always under the impression that he was badly hurt or was supposed to die when he was born or something. He's broken but he's alive, against all odds, and that's why he's named Lucky. It makes me sad for him so I won't go looking for him, but if he comes to me I'll never let go.

lolly - i had her in new leaf and i loved her so so much. she lived right next door to me and i loved being able to see her first-thing when i loaded up my game

skye - she’s gorgeous! she was one of my favourites in new leaf, too, and was also the first camper i had so she’s special to me ;u;

gayle - i was originally planning on having margie but gayle has really grown on me in the last few weeks! i’ve seen some screenshots of her around the forum and she’s such a cute lil alligator

audie - i’m literally in love with her. she’s so gorgeous and unique and is dedicated to such a sweet lady so she’s definitely a more special villager <3

sprinkle - had her in new leaf and she’s so gorgeous!! i love the lil chubby baby ;u;

diana - also had her in new leaf and she’s so gorgeous! deers are one of my favourite animals (in-game and irl) and so i love her even more for being a deer lol - plus, her house interior is so pretty!

fuchsia - like with diana, i love the deers and she’s so vibrant and i just really love her design! i was considering having pashmina instead but i think i’ll be going with fuchsia c:

zucker - was originally planning to have beau as my lazy villager but i found zucker during an island tour and tbh i invited him so i could sell/trade him off when he moved. i ended up growing super attached to him, though, and rn he’s my favourite villager on my island and i’ve decided to keep him!

kid cat - he was one of my starter villagers and while i was planning to have bam as my jock, kid cat grew on me almost immediately and now i couldn’t imagine letting him go. he has the default house interior which kinda sucks but i don’t think the jock default interior looks bad at all, honestly :3

dobie - he’s an elderly cranky wolf,, what’s not to love lol

Jacques - I like Birds in Real Life and he fits the aesthetic of a Blackbird. Also I dig that entire French Style with the Knitcap/Beanie and the Goatee.

Rod - I’m a Pokemonfan, who did multiple Runs with Rattata and his Evo and made some competitive ones in Sun and Moon. And both are Purple, which is one of my favorite colors together with blue and Orange. Also he looks like a Pirate, but for now I dressed him up with some Butterfly shades and a Old-school Jacket, so now he is a Rapper in my book. Also he is the best looking Mouse for me.

Gonzo - Mostly because of Nostalgia. Good friend who always gave me Rare Fruit and a lot of Bells. I also like those simple but cute tiny Eyes he had paired with that grumpy old Koala look. It just works for me.

Mitzi - Normally I’m not the biggest fan of Cats and it’s weird that Mitzi is a favorite, because I had Rosie way more often, but I like the Siamese Cat Style a Little Bit more. It’s just pure aesthetics for me and she is really nice so far.

Merengue - Normally not a Dreamie and I was never that interested in the Rhino Species, even tho I find Hornsby cute and Spike pretty cool. But after I had her in New Leaf for so long and got her AGAIN in New Horizons, I tried to kept her until she was ready to move. But now I don’t want her to move which is strange. Also she looks like a Snack (literally) and I love Strawberrys, so ... yeah haha

Willow - This one is odd, because I don’t think I had her that often. Maybe one time in City Folk, but even then I can’t remember her that much. I think it’s just that she is the best looking Snooty, other than Yuka and Olivia and because I didn’t want any Species more than once because of variety, so I did choose her. Also she is pretty cute and has a nice yellow color.

Filbert - First lazy I fell in love with, other than Otis (Rip). Still have him in my GameCube Town and got great gifts from him + blue color. I really struggle to like a lot of lazy villagers. Aisle and Sven aren’t anymore, I don’t have Bones Card and Jeremiah and Sherb are Fine, but I feel not as much as for Filbert. Maybe I get attached to more Lazy Villagers in the Future so I can switch them around.

Cherry - Same as Willow. Not a lot of Uchis I really like, other than Pashmina and Muffy and some other ones which aren’t as high. Punker Design with the Black and Red is cool and she reminds me of a Children Television Show i watched as a kid. And I had a Dog as a Pet, so ... Bonus Points.

Bluebear - Had her many Times and always thought she was great, as well as Poncho. From all the Bear Cubs I felt like I got mostly attached to her. I would also be glad to get Dotty, which is on the same Rank as Bluebear. If I could I would love to have two Peppies, but the 10 Villager Limit makes it so hard for me.

Ken - Another smug Bird Villager - who would have guessed? But Ninja Chicken was a great friend in New Leaf, which always wrote me the best letters attached with presents. And not the creepy kind of presents (I’m looking at you Chops). Also Blue and Black Color. And every outfit I gave him works incredibly well and really suits him, so I can make him an Jungle Adventure Chicken, if I want.

Other Villagers I got attached to are Rooney, Groucho, Static, Kidd, Olivia and Del, with last two only, because they followed me in almost every game until now. Also I’m sure that Rooney and Groucho will leave once they give me their Photos, but for now I haven’t scanned a lot of Dreamies in yet. Not that I don’t like them, but when you have no space at all and only 10 Dreamies, its hard to kick anyone from your previous Dreamies List out.

deer are my favorite species! in-game and in real life, I also knew I wanted a foresty themed island so having a bunch of deer roaming around fit that idea. My ultimate dreamy is deirdre though, I just love her naturalistic design and how it stands out with her lips and eyebrows too! I also love her personality

whitney- i love snooty villagers and to me she's the best. she gets along well with my other villagers and is very cute and classy. i'll never be without her in an animal crossing game. also.. i just love canines irl and in game
julian- one of the first villagers i ever had in new leaf!! he's fabulous and his house is always celestial aesthetic goals.
dotty- i never had her until acnh. she's so adorable, now an all time favorite of mine.
fang- another favorite from new leaf. i loved his cranky personality and he's super chill. also, he and whitney are good friends, so i can't not have him.
diana- her house interior is so pretty, i love her color palette and i love deer villagers in general. i put her in a purple fairy dress in new horizons and it suits her so well!
judy- i didn't like her at first. i thought her eyes looked weird and i planned on selling her when i got her. but.... she grew on me, as all snootys do. love her colors, and the starry eyes, and her facial expressions!
kiki- she's a black cat and has a derpy lil face. need i say more?
fauna/beau- i have trouble choosing between these two!! i love them both so much. i wish we could have 12 villagers, because there's so many that i like but i can't have all of them.
raymond- i like the dual colored eyes and his color palette, but i could honestly do without the glasses and hairstyle (wish the glasses were removable). he is pretty cute otherwise! i hope to see more smug cats in the future, i think the personality suits them.

julian - a fabulous, sparkling smug blue unicorn with a space aesthetic? hello? you have my attention
raymond - you know why (cute cat with a suit, glasses, and heterochromia, need i say more)
phoebe - one of my first villagers in NL and one of the few villagers who truly fits as an uchi. she really has such a cool big sister vibe abt her and her design is also just so cool. (she's a PHOENIX)
chief - also one of my first NL villagers. he's a soft kind guy underneath that grouchy exterior once you get to know him. i also just like wolves and his design
punchy - cute lazy black and white cat. i vibe with him, mrmpht.
dom - sweet pink sheep with an eternal face. also his personality type totally contradicts his design, it's hilarious. where are your abs? your muscles? surely not under all that wool? no, certainly not. you are much too sweet to be a jock.

other dreamies include audie, vivian, bianca, and mott-- mainly because i like their designs.

Moe - I just fell in love with him when I first saw him in my friends NL town back when I didn't have one of my own, I just saw this blue white cat with big sad yellow eyes adorable buck teeth and a kinda shy personality and my heart went Boom

Apollo - I got pocket camp to fill the void in my heart and saw him, thought he was cool and after a while our friendship was the highest I had in the entire game and I love the whole old bald eagle concept and he was just so cute with his grumpy personality and he just looks so cool

Nan - She was one of my starters and I always perceived her as this kind caring friend that was just so kind and sweet of the time and I also love her design

Punchy - He just randomly moved into my town, I wasn't really aware that he was kinda popular and he was just so sassy and fun I loved his simple but cool dashing looks

Phoebe - I also wasn't aware that she was popular and moved into my town out of the blue and she is like this cool older friend that just knows how to have fun and her eyeshadow is fabulous

Those are not all but the rest isn't in my town and I don't really got to know the others personally

Raymond - Looks like my BF but skinnier (personality-wise, reminds me of him)
Marshal - My NL dreamie, still in my island! I love him because he's a marshmallow and his name is a pun of it too marshallow
Sherb - Sleepy goat, very cute. also SHERBERT.

My name is Raymond as well! I'm a huge fan of the mobile game Monster Legends, and in it, there is an animal called Raydex, which shares the same first syllable as my name, hence, why I use that as my username. I also use it as my in-game name in my video games.
