Fairytales won’t be complete without magic! So of course there has to be a wizard/witch in them - at least for most fairytales.
My character’s wearing:
wizard’s robe (blue)
giant ribbon (blue)
browline glasses
bandage
business shoes

Decided to go with the wizard Howl from Howl's Moving Castle! Which you should also definitely watch if you haven't already.

I just had to dress up as my favorite "fairy tale/Disney" character Flynn Rider, because who doesn't like a good thief? Anyways, here's what I'm wearing:

Wide chino pants (brown)
Goatee
Lace-up boots
Pleather shoulder bag
Flynn Rider Vest (custom design)
Bobby socks

My attempt at Momotaro, the boy born from a peach who sets off to destroy demons with his companions, monkey, dog, and pheasant (bribed by Momotaro's delicious dumplings though)

Outfit includes:

  • plum hakama
  • patterned stockings
  • one hefty log pack
  • sticky rice
  • kimono sandals
  • and lastly, samurai wig

So fairy tale means an imaginary story with magical beings - this reminded me of the stories of greek gods and goddesses. My favorite greek god is Dionysus! He is the god of wine, the arts, and... fertility.... but he was portrayed as kind of playful lol. I loved learning about greek and roman mythology, so I hope this counts lol

Wingtip shoes

It's not the power of the curse. It's the power you give the curse.

When I saw the pig nose item I HAD to make an entry inspired by Penelope! It's a modern-take fairytale featuring a girl with a pig's nose and I used to live it way back when. Penelope's style was over style blogs because it was so whimsical but I'd never pull it off in real life. I decided to recreate it in AC.

I kept the skin tone the same to show it's the same person as in my other pictures but yes. Penelope!

Coat/scarf - this is a single costume design I made based on the iconic style she wears in the movie. Here's an example picture:

I had to simply the scarf design a bit because otherwise the details kind of got lost.

Shoes/socks - Mary janes (green) and vivid tights (green)

She wears that combination in the movie as well, plus in the poster:

Anyway yes that's my submission! I took the picture at the museum because I wanted to recreate a scene from the movie where she's at an aquarium, but the light in the rooms with the big tanks wasn't good enough to show the details so I settled for this smaller tank. :p

I went for a renaissance/royalty type of theme. I hope my submissions are alright this time around as they are not cropped, only resized so they're not huge lol.
