Oh gosh! I'm glad the staff liked my outfit enough to pick it as a favorite! This was a super fun event to do and I kept this thread watched for the entire contest.
One minor mix-up in the announcement post though - my entry was based on the Mad March Hare and not the Mad Hatter! They do hang out in the story but not quite the same character.
I totally get the mix-up though since they have similar names.

i'm so happy to get picked for that round because the star hood is my favourite head item except for my sheep hood which i refuse to take off heh. thanks again, and your little comment underneath it was heart warming, story incoming

is there a particular reason people who won staff fave elsewhere can't get another star collectible? I feel they should if there's gonna be no cross check whether or not an entry already won elsewhere if there's no additional collectible reward

Congrats to the winners! I already got my shooting star and this post clarified a question I had in mind.
These collectibles are special/rare and are therefore intended to be unique and not trade-able.
When looking at entries for staff favorites - especially in design-orientated ones - our first criteria is rightfully the quality and care that has gone into the entry and the uniqueness/creativity (among others) as opposed to 'has this person won before?' That said, with the number of amazing entries across all events (past and present) this doesn't happen often. I elected to place that notice in this event's announcement post as there are many events still undergoing voting. The possibility for someone to win two staff favorites is there. This has also been highlighted in our main FAQ post for this year's fair.
For example, the Pink Summer Shell awarded to staff favorites for our recent Summer Builds event and the Rainbow Feather from the previous Bell Tree Fair.
Good feedback! This is an idea to bring up for the future.

I think my favourite was the first one because I learned a new thing ... before this event I didn’t know how to use the costume change at Harvey’s to show my wardrobe items ... wow
... this is maybe something that most knew already how to do, but I did not and so I had a lot of fun with it!!
(There was a lot of trial and error on my part before I finally figured it out LOL)

My friends just told me about this because it's been busy for me for the past couple of weeks and didn't realize that the fair was coming to an end (and i missed some of my switch stars T_T, sorry mar)

My custom designed coat will be shared shortly under the same name (Unbuttoned Coat) for anyone who would like to wear it or to get inspiration from it.

Congrats winners! I seriously loved seeing all the different outfits that you all as well as the entries had put together. I never was much of a clothes person in any of the AC games, but I felt really inspired to try mixing it up sometime once I finish my catalogue or even to use them as furniture since I rarely even did that. Everyone here is incredibly creative (and not with just the outfits either; I loved the rooms that people designed with their entries). I think everyone that particpated deserve a round of applause as well. Regardless how fast the outfit was put together or if you used a custom design, I still think every entry was creative in their own right and nice to see . Thank you again, @Mairmalade for hosting such a fun and cute event. I really enjoyed it even though I missed a few prompts and didn’t win. Sorry for the long post. This, Starry snaps and sleepy at harvey’s were my favorites; I hope we have more contests like these in the future ^.^.
