If someone exploited the ability to do something like that, would you participate in it? I won't do that becuase #legit.

No :( I know people who dupe items and it doesn't bother me, but duping villagers sounds like it would be a weird and risky process. I mean how would that even work? You can't have two of someone in your town, and anyway I like the giveaway/trading community and would hate to see it undermined by "illegitimate" villagers.

theres no way im losing villagers i love due to a duping mistake ok

ok so what if you cant lose villagers through to that mistake? this is just speculating btw.

Yes. I want Zucker soo bad, and it's been impossible for me to get him.
If someone duped their Zucker and gave me his clone...I'd be very happy xD

Mm.. I would only participate if I knew for sure that it was safe, and I would only be doing so in the first place so that I could give out rare dreamies to people and stop greedy jerks from selling them.

uh

idk
i mean if i had julian and it was safe then?? maybe? to get everyones dreamies
i would ask for no bells though

There's no way you can dupe villagers if you're talking about the known duplication method.

If I was 100% sure not to lose my villager, then I don?t see why not, and villager should not even be a currency to begin with, and something like that would fix it.

One pro would be that although villager prices would initially inflate, they would eventually crash after a while due to the demand lessening. Popular villagers wouldn't just be for those with an excessive number of bells.

I wouldn't take part in something like that though.

Hm. In theory, it could work, however you only get one shot. Talk to the moving villager, end the session, cut the wifi, then you might have duplicated them.
Not like I'm gonna try, though.

This doesn't work. I've completed trades and then had the wi-fi drop while the game was saving before - nothing happens.

No. I don't find it fun because if it was ever discovered or happened, it'll make those who worked very hard to get their dreamies disappointed because now they just found out prices dropped or something.
