I want to make spot on my island for Saharah for when she's actually on my island. I plan on also doing a little something for Blathers even though he has the whole museum lol. I just really like them. I was curious if anyone else has made spots/rest stops for other rotating merchants. Especially since we have the kids tent item now.

thats honestly an adorable idea w the kids tents. at the moment im working on a kind bug/fish viewing area to the side of blathers. a little off to the side theres also a tide pool area for the sea creatures. i realized the whole museum is pretty much a way to view all the bugs and fish haha but i thought it was cute and im doing it anyway. i also had another idea of making a star-gazing/star-study area where it would like they were studying star fragments and viewing the skies. i wish there was a way to get these NPCs to actually use the areas we build for them, theres just so many possibilities for design w their concepts
I made a little stargazing area which I suppose could be considered for Celeste! it’s right outside the museum so she can be with her brother. but I’ve run out of space on my island haha so I cant really make anything now, although I do have a little bug analysis area (microscope, bug cake, encyclopaedia) which again could be considered for flick
I've started a little stargazing area for Celeste. (emphasis on the word "started"). I also did some work on the "private beach" where Redd comes, but the usual: Barrels, wanted poster, ...
I haven't really set up any areas for the NPCs, my island is currently a WIP so potentially I could fit some in but I don't really feel there is enough room as I seem to be running out of space fairly quickly. Also I'm not very creative and probably couldn't design an area that would really suit many of the NPCs. I have decorated the secret beach though with a few pirate items as they seemed to fit Redds character quite well and I can always guarantee that's where he'll be on the island.
It's really nice reading about the areas others have set up though, especially all the stargazing areas as Celeste is my favourite NPC so its nice to see she's got a lot of lovely areas on other islands.
I actually made a decent sized library and fossil dig site area for Blathers on my island behind the museum. I did a little writeup in my island journal if anyone wants to see it! I felt bad that he was trapped on the island with nowhere to go so I made a nice area with some couches and even a telescope/observatory area for Celeste when she comes to visit! I haven't made areas for the other NPCs but I'd definitely be interested in a small project or two down the road!
I'll have to post a pic later when I get Saharah's area built up. I know they won't actually use them, it is just imagination and an opportunity to creatively expand on the character's interest, personality, and background story. Plus to me, it is cute. I think I will do more for Celeste than just a general star gazing area I currently have. I just don't know if I want hers to be near Blather's or not.
Even though they don't live on my island (except Blathers, he just don't have a personal space), which I would like them to, they will still have a "home" there.
I didn't end up doing a full-on stargazing area, but I used some of the zodiac recipes from Celeste to decorate the my upper cliffs where she sometimes spawns.
