ooh a sphynx cat, the hairless ones that a lot of people find ugly when really they're super cute and perfect. they're said to be hairless due to mutation in the recessive gene. and thanks for the giveaway, that is literally so sweet of you to do
Animal: Blue-Ringed Octopus Favorite Animal Fact: The blue-ringed octopus is 12 to 20 cm (5 to 8 in), but its venom is powerful enough to kill humans. No blue-ringed octopus antivenom is available yet, making it one of the deadliest reef inhabitants in the ocean.
Will go with Tortoiseshell cat (know isn't a breed and is a fur colouration but I like it a lot >.< )
Fact time:
The tortoiseshell cat's fur is caused by the sex chromosome X having the gene for fur colour and as such when a female cat has 2 colours (1 on each X chromosome) one of the chromosomes will be deactivated. This happens randomly in the cells so the fur can be different colours created the fur pattern effect. Due to this being on the X chromosome it is almost exclusively on female cats. While it is possible to be on male cats it would be due to a chromosome abnormality like XXY for example thus making them (almost always) sterile due to such a chromosome abnormality.
Hopefully didn't melt anyone's brain with that, I studied biology to a pretty high level.

please include facts, everyone.
also do not use an animal that was already used. ctrl+f your animal on the first page and if the animal wasn't picked you can use it.
