Events & Collectibles General Discussion

So, I made a hot chocolate collectible back during one of the christmas events where we had to design a "winter-themed" collectible or something like that, and I just came across the art I did for it in one of my books so thought I'd show it, now that we actually have a hot chocolate collectible!

pretty different from what actually exists now. mine looks more like an espresso. xp

I’m having trouble selling or trading a collectible I just got. Is my selling price too high, or is the demand for it is so low that nobody would buy it regardless of price? If it’s the latter, why are newer collectibles low in demand?

Are you talking about the Planet Glow Wand? Because everyone is trying to sell the currency that can be bought with right now. Prices are all over the place for the collectibles from this event, but it usually only takes one or two people selling things at an unusual price to make that the norm for awhile, if not permanently. I’m not sure how these collectibles will be valued in the future, but as of right now your prices don’t reflect what people perceive to be fair (even though personally I think what some of it is selling for is absurd).

Actually, it’s the gold moon jellyfish. I traded the planet glow wand for another collectible after realizing how I can’t sell it for the price I desired.

I would guess that it has something to do with the fact that there aren’t enough water background collectibles.
That makes sense, actually. Maybe if we have more fish collectibles, it could help. They could also have a sea bass collectible that’s as cheap as a tasty cake and unlimited in stock.

I recently traded a new space collectible for a gold moon jellyfish just to sell for TBT since I am TBT-poor. I have been kind in the past, buying unwanted collectibles from others so they can have more Bells or sending Bells for free to get a collectible they wanted. I’m hoping someone will be nice enough to do this to me when I’m in need.

It would be cool to have more fish with water backgrounds. A couple I really want to see are the football fish (that could have a blinking light actually) and a coelacanth. (Oo neon tetras could be an animated color change)
Beta fish would be super popular I bet, if they have a few color variants.

However, I bet if we get more aquatic collectibles with that deep blue background, it will probably be deep sea creatures or creatures you have to dive for in ac. (Umbrella octopus, isopod, or sea pig ect)

The clownfish we have now is a plush so it has a plush background so if a zebra fish or ranch goldfish ever appears id want it to match the clown fish. Same with other whales, and squids to go with space whale.

Going back to the space collectibles and their pricing, new collectibles tend to have more variable prices, usually much lower, because when a collectible is new, users are trying to figure out what’s the best way to buy or sell the collectible. But after it’s been on the market for a while, it gets a fixed price or less-than-variable price.
