Events & Collectibles General Discussion

question... did these ever get released in 2023?

and did they get released in 2022?? or earlier?
I wasn’t around for 2022, but I believe they were released in 2022 when they had a forest-themed fair.

I was just thinking. From the 2017 TBT Fair, the only aspects that have never been used again since the 2017 Fair ended were the real life pixel art event, the design-a-villager and interior contest, custom lineart, and a poster real life prize, though the design a villager contest has been done in 2016. Everything else (including the Kracko obsession and the “Arcade” feature) has happened at least once since 2017. Even all of the collectibles that were introduced that event got a rerun or two.

the rainbow feather was available as a prize for Celebrating Diversity 2023. I still regret not being able to win it 😞

I fixed it. But still, it’s interesting to see some less-likely concepts come back in the future.
  • Game Night featured the same arcade games the 2017 Fair did.
  • The Championship Series got a new event - the TBT World Championships.
  • The arcade collectibles and gradient feathers not only got a rerun, but were also expanded on, seeing gradient balloons and new arcade collectibles this year.
  • The avatar and signature event became a regular activity every event. The only difference is that you don’t get staff favorites for that (like in 2017).
  • Kracko was one of last year’s Banner Beasts.

Idk if I’m the first person suggesting this, but I think there should be a collectible that’s just… nothing. It just counts as a blank space. It would be a cool idea if you could make a lineup and have spaces between collectibles without putting a collectible, or have a lineup that’s just a bottom row. Does something like that already exist?

That's scenery already, isn't it? And if you want a mini-lineup, activating only 5 collectibles is enough.

Well, yeah, I know scenery exists, but I mean an item that’s completely invisible. For example, my lineup looks like this:

But with my idea, I would be able to put spaces where the Corrupted Rainbow Candies are instead of a collectible. So instead of having an item there or scenery there would be nothing. It just looks like there’s no collectible displayed, but it still takes up a space, I guess kind of like a Barrier Block in Minecraft. I hope that makes sense.

Also, normally, if you were to display 5 or less collectibles, they would go to the top row. If you want anything to appear on the bottom row, you have to have collectibles/scenery on the top row.

Ah, like a transparent 28x28 png file

oh, I actually pitched this idea years before the scenery items even were a thing

Next idea for collectibles - collectible folders. So I can activate or deactivate a handful of collectibles at once without having to check all of the boxes. This way, I can show one sidebar one day, and another sidebar another day.
I like this idea. It would be easier to organise collectibles for those that have a lot of them. It should still be organised by date received though.

i was looking at the teal egg. idk what it's called. but it. looks. strange to me.

apologies to who did the pixel work for the teal egg- but i have made my changes. and now i am uploading it onto this site for people to look at.

I second this. I’m starting to forget which Collectibles I actually own.

Because of our optional 6x2 sidebars for the event, I managed to screen capture both of my collectible sidebars where the categories are the same, but not the collectibles:
