Expanding the campsite?

Wouldn’t it be great if we could pay a mortgage to expand the area in our camp ground/ the areas that we are allowed to place furniture? (And .the max Amt of furniture availiable to place) to have more room to be creative use all these huge amounts of new furniture? Is there some reason it hasn’t been done yet? If not hopefully it’s possible for the future anyway.

I would love to be able to place more than 40 furniture down. With all the flower pots and little accesory-like items that I put down alongside the bigger items, I really need a higher limit.
