So, in both Gen VII and VIII, they released regional variants. If you have ideas for a regional variant, here's a place to share them. I'll show mine, a regional variant for the Aron family

Artarian Aron: The Ice Armor Pokémon
Type: Ice/Rock
Abilities: Ice Body or Rock Head/Hidden Ability: Filter
Because of the constant cold rusting their iron body, Aron in Artaria have adapted to replace their iron with ice. They eat mostly ice as well as iron. Their armor glimmers when near evolution.
Evolves into Artarian Lairon at level 32

Abilities: Ice Body or Rock Head/Hidden Ability: Filter
Artarian Lairon compete with the size of their horns. The one with the largest horn is the leader of a herd. A broken horn is seen as a sign of glory, facing stronger enemies until the day the horn breaks mean that the individual will be seen as a veteran battler
Evolves into Artarian Aggron starting at level 42 in an area with the Frozen Stone

Artarian Aggron: The Ice Armor Pokémon
Type: Ice/Rock
Abilities: Ice Body or Rock Head/Hidden Ability: Filter
It has a natural rivalry with Beartic, and lines its icy helmet with teeth collected from victories against its rival. Its ice is thick and cold enough that even molten lava won't melt it. The club on its tail is strong enough to smash diamond to pieces.
