i love the light dirt, wooden, and stone paths the most. dark dirt is also great for plants n' such. the only one i really dislike is terracotta and that's because i hate the sound it makes.
i use custom paths the most. but other than that dirt and dark dirt with sand, are my favorites. my dislike is just the terracotta. kinda looks cheap tbh
My favorite is the arched tile -- I used a custom design just like it in new leaf, so it was so nice to see it available ingame. My least favorite are terracotta tiles -- they're just too bright/light for my liking. Though I bet plenty of people have made it look great!
i don’t use any of the in-game paths except for the dirt ones, but my favourites are the dark dirt path, the stone path and the brick path — i just like the look of them the most, as well as the sound the stone and brick paths make when you walk on them. as for least favourite, it’s a tie between the sand and terracotta paths. :’)
The stone path and the arched path are the best when put together imo. Because both of them are grey you can kind of create this stepping stone look with them, cause they won't connect to each other. You can make really interesting designs that I think work much better than just an ordinary path for bigger areas. Otherwise, the dark dirt path works really well to convey more forest-y or nature-rich areas of the island.
I love the light dirt path and the dark dirt path the most. I specifically only use those two paths in my island because it’s very natural. Sure, it’s a bummer that flowers grow on those paths but it can be solved with some custom design! Funny enough, the terracotta path is my least favourite but the sound it makes is undoubtedly the best one!
Dark dirt paths are pretty much a staple anytime I plant pretty well anything. I just like the aesthetic of it. The others vary, but I do tend to have a lot of regular dirt paths and wooden paths around. I use brick and both types of stone for supplementary stuff, and probably use terracotta the least. Sand paths are very situational, but I use them in specific places as well.
