My darling @Saylor got me the yummiest strawberry cake for my birthday last year... I still think about it!! It was so yummy. I find chocolate cake can be a bit too much especially if theres chocolate frosting. I love vanilla cake with chocolate frosting but the strawberry cake... with strawberry frosting... the best.

favorite cake? carrot cake, sans the raisins. it's only good if you leave those out. i also like cheesecake generally, but the base:frosting ratio always annoys me because it just ends up tasting too sickly for me. i like victoria's sponge, too. not dead keen on chocolate, but i'll eat it.

Any kind of chocolate cake, carrot cake, coffee and walnut cake, lemon and poppy seed cake, and Black Forest cake. I think tiramisu is probably a dessert but I love tiramisu as well.

my fav is also ice cream cake but every ice cream cake i've had usually has a layer of cake in it.
