Hi, I was wondering which pokemon game generation is your favorite. Mine is Generation III.:lemon:

IV. So much nostalgia. Pok?mon doesn't interest me as much now because of how repetitive the development has become. It sells, though. So, nobody but a select few are really bothered by it.

I'd say gen II because it was by far the one I played the most and I loved the glitches hah...and for the nostalgia i guess.

as for newer gens, def. gen V cause i finished the pokedex with catching everything in black 2 i think it was...

Generation III, mainly due to the fact that it was the first Pok?mon game I played.

I've played them all, and gen 5 has been my favorite, followed somewhat closely by gen 3. I seem to always like the odd-numbered variants more for some reason, so hopefully 7th gen reignites my love for the series after 6th gen ruined it a bit. -_-

4, as the main games are great, but the side games are among the best.

We have (for spin offs)
Pokemon mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky/Time/Darkness
Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia/Guardian Signs

I love all the generations but since I started playing only 2 years ago, gen VI was the first I got to know, so it has to be my favorite! ^^

I guess it depends on what you mean by "generation" since the later generations include remakes. I liked Gen II (Gold and Silver and their remakes) the best since they were the first to have the day/night mechanics and I think that a lot of the areas were well designed with good music. It was also cool that you could go back to the Kanto region after beating the Elite Four and challenge Red after beating both regions. Gen III was a little disappointing for me since a lot of areas seem similar and the music was not as good in my opinion. Gen IV was pretty good, but V was a little bit of a letdown for me too. I haven't played VI yet, so I don't know about that.

The odd numbered ones only allow you to catch new Pokemon before the Elite Four while the even numbered ones mix in old Pokemon at the start of the game, so maybe that's why you like the odd ones better.

Has to be gen 3 and 4 but mainly gen 3!

That was only gen 1 and gen 5. In gen 3, older Pok?mon such as Geodude and Magnemite were part of the Hoenn Pokedex!

3 for sure. It's what I grew up with. The newer gems are nice and all but I like the quirks of gen 3 even if it's far from perfect. Like come on it's the last gen where walking around with a poisoned Pokemon will cause them to eventually faint.

Gen 3 also used to be challenging the revised exp share, fighting off status ailments by themselves etc. Just make the new games way too easy. I miss the good ole gen 3 days of stumbling around not knowing what the heck I was doing. Those were the days.

I can't decide between these two. So my favorites are Gen I and Gen III. They were quite fun. :)

Well, you got to remember. As we grow, we get a lot of experience ourselves and end up knowing what to do in future games now. I remember when all I wanted to do was earthquake in Gen 1 and 2 games. Even in Pok?mon Stadium all I did was earthquake. Hahaha! But as we grow, we learn from mistakes like using earthquake against a flying type as a little kid. Now the game is easy as we know our way too much around them.

What you're is most definitely true but even with that aside I still find the newer games much easier. I've recently gone back and played gen 3 and 4 and have found both to be much more of a challenge than gen 6 even though I've played those gens before.

But yes, in general I will most definitely find all the games as a whole easier as I've learned so much over the years from playing all the games. I really hope the next gen gets a difficulty setting so new players can play on easy to get a feel for the game and us veterans can play on hard for a challenge (not unlike the normal, hard and lunatic modes in Fire Emblem for instance).

Gen 2 because of nostalgia.

I love Gen 6 though, its one of my favourites but Gen 2 has all the Pok?mon memories I will never forget.

I love all the generations but I have to go with gen 4 because of nostalgia and the music, also I actually knew people irl who would play pokemon, now I don't know anyone other than people online

Gen 4 had the most interesting characters I would say, a well developed rival, gym leaders had more personality and meeting with the characters outside of their gym, also team galactic is amazing, had a great plot and was a real evil team trying to end the world and you weren't the only one trying to stop them for one time. Just some great development and I would love to see it get a remake since so many people under value what this generation gave us.
