Winter is my favorite season in AC. I love the Frozen and the illuminated sets as well as the other Christmas furniture diys. I enjoyed building the snowboys. I liked how the island looks with snow. The only thing that I don’t like is that my flowers keep growing still. I didn’t play much during the winter because I took a break. Toy Day was okay.

After winter, I’d pick either Cherry Blossom season - spring or the fall; cherry blossom season is too short and I never got the recipes (thankfully i bought them all by the time it came around the second time since i missed it the first time). I didn’t play much in the fall again and spring (last time i didn’t have the game until end of may; i think i played a fair amount in the fal but not as much as i wanted to because i needed a break). I enjoyed Halloween; I felt Harvest Festival was underwhelming (especially since we didn’t get the pie or any of the dishes for furniture and no vinegar bottle or flour or butter to keep). I don’t like mushrooms in RL but I love the mush set and the fall furniture.

Summer I like only because it is shark season and beetles I think.

Summer for me. I like the midtone vibrant greens which helps pop out the flowers, shrubs and trees. I specifically designed my island to look the best in summer and funnily enough it took me 9 months to get there since I chose southern hemisphere.

So when I finally hit summer, December-Feb, it was fantastic to see all the hard work come to life. Especially seeing the hibiscus bushes bloom since they've been dormant forever.

I loved the way my island looked in the Winter, it just suited my colour scheme the best. Second is Autumn for the cute mushroom, maple, and tree's bounty DIY recipes. I would have ranked Spring higher for cherry blossom season, but it's just too short lived.

I love autumn in real life and I love it in game too. I love the colours and the autumn weeds. Plus Halloween is my jam 🎃

I like spring the most because of cherry blossom season and my birthday. Unfortunately, Zipper ruins the beautiful zen cherry blossom setting. I wish Zipper could be optional to invite to the island. His creepiness is not welcomed as I find him more disturbing than Jack. My next favourite would have to be autumn because of the colours. Autumn has so many more events compared to the other seasons as well so there's always something to do.

winter was gorgeous, best season irl stays winning.

autumn's also pretty chill, and i have no real complaints about spring or summer, even though those two seasons are god-awful irl lol

I love hearing everyone's opinions on the seasons! For me, seasonal changes are the most important part of an Animal Crossing game and with the HD beauty of NH, they knocked it out of the park.

Autumn is my favorite season due to the leaves changing colors, the falling maple leaves, acorns, pine cones, and mushrooms, Halloween, and Turkey Day. These three months are very aesthetically pleasing and so are all the furniture and clothing items that come with it. Autumn gives such a warm, cozy vibe as the weather starts getting colder and days get shorter. I have soooo many screenshots from this time of year in game. As a non-time-traveler, I can't wait to see it again.

Second place for most games would be Winter, but I think in NH, Winter and Summer tie. The first snowfall is magical as the grass around you has browned, and the first flurries spark the feeling of Christmastime. Then when the snow blankets your island, it gives everything a whole new vibe. The snow at night is really well done as it sparkles in the moonlight. Seeing all the villagers in warm clothing is also adorable. Finally, Winter holds Toy Day, New Years, and sometimes even Festivale (although Festivale has always felt more Spring-suited). The only thing that makes Winter not surpass Summer in my book, is that it lasts too long without any visual changes. In New Leaf you could at least see the leaves on trees slowly going from brown to green. In NH they stay frozen all Winter long.

Tied for second, as I said, is Summer. Summer is vibrant, fun, and warm. The grass and leaves getting darker throughout the months bring out the blueness of the water. I can't help but go diving in the Summer, despite having all the underwater creatures already. It's a joy to run around my island in sandals or barefoot. Summer also holds Bug-Offs, which I find superior to Fishing Tourneys, and then the Fireworks Festival, which while very simple, radiate a summertime energy that can't be replicated. Also, fireflies in June to me are akin to snowfall at night in the Winter. It's just the perfect, most relaxing thing.

Lastly in third is Spring. I by no means dislike Spring. In fact, I enjoy Spring! You can't mention Spring in Animal Crossing without mentioning Cherry Blossom season. Pink flowers on the trees has always looked good, but NH brings it to a whole new level. Especially when the petals start falling off the trees and blow in the wind...just wow. The grass during early Spring is probably my least favorite color, but again, it by no means is ugly or bad. Spring gives me a weird feeling though because I feel like irl, Spring is mostly cold with some lucky warm days. In Animal Crossing, Spring is warm and that's it. Because of the mismatch, I can't get quite as immersed in the season as I can with others.

That was fun to write. Thanks for reading if you did :)

Gonna go with Autumn. It feels the most relaxing of the AC seasons, and the mushroom items (some of my personal fave items from this game) look perfect in it.

I love spring so much! The colors are so soft and you can feel the good temperature through the screen!

I honestly thought I would like Fall the most, but when it came time, I didn't really care for how the trees took forever to change colors and stuck with sickly colors for a while. I liked the reds in the other games. Spring rained a bit too much for my liking and it was flower mayhem. Summer just felt like the perfect combination of nice colors and good weather where it rained here or there and not every day.

Fall > Summer > Winter > Spring

Fall has some neat coloring and the environment is changing. I also enjoyed the Halloween and Thanksgiving events with Halloween being tied for me as best event alongside the Festival. Mushrooms are awesome and the furniture is also awesome.

Summer is when I really started playing the game regular. The coloring and general atmosphere is appealing. While the Firework shows are annoying when trying to boot villagers, I do enjoy the mini-event to help create a more rotating community events type deal going on.

With Winter... the snow feels like it overstays it's welcome. It's neat to have the island change in a more dramatic way, but all of the white gets old. Beautiful though for awhile. The Christmas event was pretty forgettable for me. The Festival fell during Winter (I think), and I LOVED IT. But I do think of it as more of a Spring (or Summer) type celebration. Oh I forgot New Years! I actually did the countdown with my villagers and failed waving my stick in time with them, it was very wholesome though.

Spring is pretty, but I honestly can't recall much interesting happening during it. Bunny Day was mediocre. The Spring Blossoms are pretty and have some pretty recipes though. It's a nice atmosphere.

I ended up editing and switching Spring and Winter. Thinking back on the past interactions with my villagers... I'm struggling thinking of much that happened in Spring. The Festival could save it, but it technically happened in the Winter!

it’s a tie between winter and spring for me. despite not really liking it irl, i love winter in animal crossing. i loved seeing my villagers wearing warm coats and hats, hearing the snow crunch underneath my island rep’s feet, building snowboys and catching snowflakes, seeing the cedar trees all lit up, nook cranny’s winter decorations ... long story short, i love everything about winter and just how gorgeous it is.

however, seeing the paleness of snow be replaced by a vibrant green really made me fall in love with spring, too. i spent march-may of last year waiting so impatiently for summer that i failed to take note of just how bright and beautiful everything was. winter makes me happy but the vibrancy of spring and constantly seeing butterflies flying around makes me really happy, too. ☺️

Autumn by far, I love collecting pinecones and acorns and I think the colouring of the grass/trees is beautiful. Also the fact that Halloween and Turkey Day/Thanksgiving occurs during that season, and they're my top two events in NH.

Following Autumn would be Spring, specifically the early days where the grass was a lighter green and cherry blossoms were around. I wish the sky was raining cherry blossoms for the whole week because they're so pretty!

mine is spring. it happens to be the time i started playing new leaf (march 2020) and new horizons (march 2021) i love the atmosphere? the vibe? i feel like spring perfectly represents animal crossing. i love the cherry blossoms, not so much the easter event haha
my least favorite is fall bc the dull orange/brown colors make me sad lol. i still havent experienced the fall events, so i want to try that this year!

Summer for sure. I love the bright green grass and there’s so many bugs all over the place.

It's a hard toss-up between autumn and spring - going to vote autumn.

I played most during the spring and the season has some of my favorite DIYs. I love the softer colors/contrast between green saplings, cedars, bamboo, and cherry blossoms (though fall has a mix of oranges, reds, and yellows that are equally gorgeous). Spring has the best environment/look for everyday play, but it lacks a solid event unlike autumn (also on Halloween is the #1 train).

I also prefer wearing cozy-styled clothes (sweaters, jeans, cardigans) that are an autumn staple. 🍁

AUTUMN SUPREMACYYY

But for real, I just saw the poll results and I’m actually surprised autumn is winning? I really thought spring would be the top runner, but I’m glad we have so many autumn stans on the forum. 🤣

I love autumn for all the color aesthetics, and it’s had some of the best seasonal items in the game so far (in my opinion). The Halloween and Harvest sets have been amazingly useful for my island! It’s actually made me love Turkey Day so much more. I have a newfound appreciation thanks to New Horizons. 😌✨
