Pokémon Favourite Water/Dark Type 💧🌑

Which is your favourite Water/Dark type Pokémon? Mine is Greninja (miss him terribly on the Switch)

I think some may think where I'm going with this poll...

Easily the Carvanha line to be honest. I love that it evolves into an actual shark (Sharpedo), and that Sharpedo is able to mega evolve. Don't really care for the others that much.

Crawdaunt because he has the same color scheme as Croconaw.

Again, I'm torn between two - Edgy Samurott and Sharpedo.

I'm partial to Carvanha/Sharpedo and Crawdaunt. If it was just looks, I'd probably go with Crawdaunt, but Sharpedo's more appealing to use so I'll give it the vote.

Greninja is probably the best of the bunch with the Protean Hidden Ability and I do like it, but I just prefer the other two when it comes to personal interest.

Kind of middling on Mega Gyarados and Hisuian Samurott. They're not bad, but they just don't really do much for me.

Definitely has to be Hisuian Samurott for me. I already liked original Samurott, but the Hisuian design raised it to another level for me. Greninja's second with Carvanha/Sharpedo in 3rd.

As much as I love Hisuian Samurott and how its design is based on a ronin samurai, I prefer his Unova regional form because it does not gain any additional weaknesses, such as bug, fairy and fighting, although it's useful how they are immune to psychic, as psychic is pretty OP and somewhat common, and there are a lot of psychic-type specialists. I went with Greninja as my favorite because it's so memorable, and also because frogs are just awesome in general. The other water/dark types in the poll are pretty good too, offensively, but defensively, not so much, especially the Carvanha line. Mega Gyarados's design, however, never did much for me, as most Megas do, because then I remember how Megas are actually in excruciating pain having to go through such a radical bodily transformation. Seriously, almost ever Mega dex entry states how the Pokémon is undergoing some kind of painful process just to gain that additional power. Mega Evolution is essentially steroids lol

I've gotta go with Greninja—I love frogs and ninjas are cool, so there's not a lot not to like for me. I also chose Froakie as my partner Pokémon in Super Mystery Dungeon, and I really loved the portraits for Greninja in that game too.
Hisuian Samurott is also pretty cool though, so it would totally be my second pick.

For whatever reason I’ve always been attached to the Corphish line. I’m afraid of lobsters irl and haven’t used the line in game, but that doesn’t stop my weird liking to them.

Greninja is a close second. They’re a blast to use both in game and competitively. It’s a shame they got banned. Even if they nerfed the line to make it viable in OU I’d still have a blast with it.

Hisuian Samurott just has such a nice design (I love the design of Unovan Samurott too), so I had to go with that. I also like Crawdaunt (and even better, shiny Crawdaunt).

I’m going to go with Greninja, as I have used it plenty of times through my Pokémon X play through. Also, it has such a nice shiny color design. Hisuian Samurott would be a close second.
