I read on Nookapedia that you can buy the new fence download for 1000 nook miles.

I did just that, but didnt get the stone fence, which is the one I really wanted.

Did I do something wrong?

Did you check your inventory? The DIY card should be there.

Or maybe you might have confused it with the "Custom Fencing in a Flash" DIY (2,500 miles). If that's the one you bought, then you'll only get:
- large lattice fence
- park fence

The Nook Mile Redemption will only sell two fence DIYs, but that changes every day. So keep checking back. It will cycle through all the fence DIYs including both old and new. You can buy it again when it shows up so there's no need to worry of messing up.

By the way, the stone fence has been included in the game since the beginning.
