Latter? I found out what the name of the games were my self and after watching a few videos fire emblem looks funner and faster but I gotta ask who is the first person u play as, is it Lyn, or Roy's father I don't remember his name.

In FE7, I believe you play as Lyn, Hector, and Eliwood... You have choices as to which character to choose later down the road.

In FE:SS, you play as either Ephraim or Eirikia. You get to choose which character will be your main in Chapter 8, I think, so basically this encourages replay value, since you have two times the size of the normal game, since both characters go on seperate journeys.

I personally enjoyed FE:SS more, but it's up to you.
