For people that don’t TT how do you enjoy the first week?

I've played for 95+ hours and wouldn't even consider time travelling. I don't feel like the experience has been bereft of activity either. I don't understand this notion of time travelling; it's a game that simply demands to be played in parallel with the real-time clock and anything other than that is just spoiling it. This is of course just my own perception of it - you pay your money and can play it any way you see fit.

Well, I enjoy the slow pace of the opening days of the game. Starting off in a tent, desperately collecting shells to sell. It amuses me to start off with nothing and slowly build up bells and items. I find the pacing to be generally well done.

Not time travelling was sometimes hard, but definitely worth it for me. I spent almost all day of every day doing something. Farming manila clams, completing Nook Mile+ initiatives, landscaping, fishing, etc. There was always something to do. I was tempted to time travel for the Able Sister's store opening, but decided against it, for I knew it would open eventually (and now it's open!)

I'm not against time travelling, I just decided to go this game without it (at least for now), just to let things play out as they would naturally. Not time travelling made me excited for the next day, to see what would be new. I've had so much fun doing so many things;

- attempting to breed hybrids
- attempting to make tarantula islands (one successful attempt so far)
- attempts to catch certain fish
- visiting friends and having friends over (and laughing a LOT)
- creating a list of DIY item prices (and crafting one of every item for it)
- hoarding materials for the sake of hoarding
- talking to all of my islanders and getting a new appreciation for them
- playing all day solely to listen to the new music

I very much enjoyed my first week and a half. I always found something to do each day. However, no thaat I'm so close towards the end of the tutorial phase, I'm getting a bit antsy. I just reached a 3*-town rating today and now have to wait for KK to show up so I can finally grab the terraforming tool. HURRY UP KK!

I loved my first week. I definitely found that I ran out of "objectives" to do very quickly, but I've always loved just fishing and catching bugs, so even though all I was doing was making Bells, it was very relaxing and enjoyable. I've never thought of Animal Crossing as a game that I needed something to be given to do. It's always been the type of game where even if I run out of things to do, just being in the world of it is such an escape and stress reliever. Also, I would never TT as I feel that completely defeats the purpose of the game.

Just c h i l l i n g.

The first week is magical. People should learn to cherish it.

I had a lot of fun once I could visit my friends, we visited each other a lot and went fishing together. I spent a lot of time just enjoying being in the game and farming fishing, and I was paying off a home loan basically every day. It helped speed things up a bit for me and make me feel like I was progressing when there wasn't much else to do. But there was something new every day that excited me, whether it was a house expansion, a new shop, or new villagers. It's still pretty much the same but I just feel like my island is starting to "come together" now that I can do more.

I didn't find it boring, at all. I've had fun going at a slow pace, figuring out where and how I'm going to place everything. Currently, I'm finishing funding on the 2nd bridge, and once it's done, I'll place the campsite on the other side of the river.

I know I'm behind others in terms of construction, but I still have lots to do. I have 5 villagers, and like all of them, so interacting with them is nice. Nook's Cranny, Town Hall, the museum, and Able Sisters are built, which gives me options. I'm collecting DIY cards and making little improvements to the island, in preparation for when I'll start big renovations.

I look forward to each day and have no interest in rushing through it.

I honestly don't feel the desire to TT at all - since each day in AC consists of a lot of repetitive tasks (going around the island, digging up fossils, watering flowers, checking the shops' inventories etc.) I feel like I'd get burned out quickly if I had to do several "days" in a single day. Unless TTers just don't bother with these?

I feel like I'd turn into Stardew Valley or Rune Factory... and if I wanted to play either of these I could just boot them up instead.

Didn't want to TT at all and I surely don't now. I was contempt enough trying to catch everything and grinding Nook Miles, which I subsequently wasted trying to find Goldie. There's so much to do each day that I'm satisfied taking it one-day-at-a-time and would probably be overwhelmed with TTing.
