• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

For Those Who Don't Think TT is Part of AC!

Why do people consider time traveling to be cheating? A lot of people have wacky schedules and can?t access open stores or some fish and bugs if they don?t time travel. I work that 9 to 5 life, so I have to be up early and it?s easier on me to TT to later times at night to get certain fish and bugs. There?s no punishment for time traveling and it doesn?t have any negative affects on anyone else?s gameplay so why do people feel the need to call people who time travel, cheaters? People feel way too entitled to tell someone else how to play a game. That?s a great rumor though!! Way better than flower fan or whatever it is they call me.

If TT'ing wasn't in the game, I'd get bored of it too often. I like being busy, and sometimes you can't get everything done without Time Travel.

It IS one of the better rumors to have, though. My favorites are social butterfly and Time-traveler (my least favorite is bell pincher. Every time I get it, I buy Gracie out just to spite them).

Basically the same, a busy real life, but I want to experience all acnl has to offer - so I freeze time so I can play when I can, but at the same time not miss out on any ingame days and events.

I've played ac since acww days, so don't know how the gamecube game handled time, but acww/accf/acnl have all allowed you to change time, and the restrictions have been lessened with each game - in acww you had to change time with the system and keep ingame time and system time exactly the same. Its a lot easier now in acnl, and yes there are still a few penalties - such as turnips spoiling but nothing major.

I have seen someone say (is it in this thread?) that Nintendo could prevent time travel (in the next main ac game) but let us put the game into vacation mode - a bit like Nintendogs, 3ds version.
So the game would progress in real time - you couldn't change time at all. Personally I would find this disastrous, a game breaker eg if you can't play Harvest Festival on Thanksgiving, you are going to miss it.

I like how Nintendo let us change time in this real time game - how we use that concession is up to each player. But to take it out - well I couldn't then play ac, would miss far too much. Real life has to come first.

You could change the time on your GameCube but the game would give you a gyroid face and automatically spoil your turnips as punishment. I did it once just to see what I would look like.

Hello Fellow Time Travelers!!!

There is a lot more dialogue about TT in New Leaf than in all the other games.

Personally I love it :)

I've played Gamecube and yes you can change the time, in case anyone was wondering.

I just found my old topic on Time Travel.

Seeing my old villagers was nice, a little sad too, but hilarious.

Read the OP! ^_^

Made my day.
