Since the first in-game day is not synced to the real-time clock, I don’t see why I should tamper with the Switch’s clock really...

I think I will keep it to midnight. I am a night owl anyway, so it's classic me to start the game late at night!
I don't think you're playing it wrong if you play late either - just preference

Tutorial runs on its own time, it will be day time when we arrive, aside from that, no I won't be adjusting the clock. I'll play normally for an hour or 2 and then go to bed.

Based on the IGN article about the first 30 minutes of gameplay, it seems the game actually doesn't run on real time at first! So it should be daytime at first no matter what, I think.

This is an old post that got revived. I think I made it about a month ago, and I didn't know about the tutorial at the time. I am happy that we always arrive during the day though. That's all I really cared about. I don't mind playing at night, but I wanted my first experience of my island to be in daylight. I guess they probably figured that when they made the tutorial.

I`m kinda happy it is midnight. During the tutorial I get to experience my glorious new island during the day and afterwards at night.Kinda like a win-win situation right there.

I was originally not going to be playing until the morning, but now that I got digital... my new answer is "No."

I'll be playing at 12AM, that gives me 5-6 hours to play before the new day starts. Don't have to worry about anything being closed or anything to start off with.

it is out at midnight for me so may woke up and play it
