Gender stereotypes.

Whatever :
"How can you like pink if you're a boy?"

"Boys can't cry or they're gayyyyyy"

this one is the dumbest god damn thing ever and it makes me cringe for obvious reasons. Boys can cry. It's called showing emotion, they aren't robots.

THIS
ACCURATE AF

Honestly, they should just get rid of gender roles. If women still want to cook and clean, they can. But that shouldn't be a woman thing. Men can do this just as well.

Honestly to me gender is a societal construct that has outlived its usefulness! People may have a physiological/genetic sex, but the whole concept of men and women as genders with specific roles seems convoluted and unnecessary! Males and females have very few cognitive and physiological differences that would make them truly different in ways that matter to everyday life and work!

I think people should just do what they want, feel how they want, and dress how they want without there being an expectation based on 'gender.' In my opinion it causes more trouble than it's worth!

That being said I do understand that transgenderism is a thing and I am not in any way trying to diminish the very real impact that has on a person's life. I am not trying to say that there are not transgender people. All I am saying is that the idea of gender causes trouble because it strives to stereotype an entire group of people and fit them into a box of arbitrary rules based on their physical sex. It seems wrong to me to do that to people!

''girls are good at cleaning''
''men are stronger''

''women are supposed to be good at cooking'' oh yeah? build me a ****ing house then, **** you.

"Because you like __, you're a boy/girl!"
This one goes either way tbh, but both times it's annoying. Get your nose out of my face you nosey *****, don't matter what I like or don't.

when u hang out with someone of the opposite gender and theyre like "oooohhh is this your boyfriendddd/girlfriendddd"
when u hang out with someone of the same gender and theyre like "ooooh gaayyyy"
when u get called a "tranny" for wearing mens clothing

I hate it when people are okay with men having hair all over their body (i.e. legs, arms, armpits) while women are constantly told to shave and that they'd look "disgusting and unhygenic" if they just let hair grow naturally on their body. :| Even mom told me once that I was disgusting for not shaving my armpits every day but I don't see her complaining when she sleeps with dad (who has tons of hair under his armpits, ugh).

My favorite gender stereotype is "Men enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking".

HAHAHAHHAHA, the closes I've been fishing/camping/hiking is stepping outside to get the mail.

My parents always always make me and my sister do kitchen things (cooking, cleaning dishes, setting tables) so it has gotten to the point where my brother didn't even know how to work a stove. He's turning 20 this year. He is so clueless in a kitchen so he always buys his food. It's horrible. He's the only one who is gonna suffer when he moves out and it's all because my parents are sexist.

I've seen SO many families like this. My family is just girls but I've always wondered if I had brothers whether they would ever have been taught to cook and clean up after themselves.

i was reading a text post the other day, and it was a lot like this:

Me Working at McDonald's Today, A Mom Comes in with her Son:

Women: Hi, could I get the toy for boys?
Me: Haha, which one?
Women: The one that boys play with?
Me: Haha, which one are you talking about?
Women: I really want a boy toy!
Me: Lol don't we all? But seriously which one do you want?
Women: ...

I think that represents a lot of gender bias. That boys have a certain toy they like, and girls have a certain toy they like. However, I agree, the little boy might really like race cars, that's a thing. but i just think it's time to realize: girls could like toy cars, boys can like dolls.

that one boy that likes the girl toy XD

Men aren't allowed to like cartoons for little girls. If you do, you are surely a pedophile/child molester.

Edit: But it's okay to like simple kids games like Animal Crossing and Pok?mon. Gotta draw that arbitrary line somewhere, am I right? ;)

how girls are always seen as sluts or guys are always seen as pervs lol and it's all from the girls perspective in this one idg at all

Girls being over-dress-coded for "sexual clothing" because guys can't keep their willy from springing up. I mean, they're being dress-coded for simple things, like the kind of pants they wear. I mean, come on! Guys should have to follow similar dress code rules.
