GIMP Questions (I'm a n00b)

gimp messes up gifs. it never opens them right. ever.
It may be that you're trying to paste a sprite on a gif.
Yes, that means animation won't work.

Wait, really? Because I made an animated signature using GIMP, it just had the sprite with the background and everything.

lol I never got gifs to work, maybe the version of gimp I'm using is really old
copy and paste the sprite directly from the webpage. It should appear as a floating selection. Anchor it and then it should be fine.
