Hey peeps, in order to provide better references for my shop, I've decided to create a tumblr account just for my drawings. I want to beef it up with some art first (I haven't made it yet, I'm still undecided on a name) so send me Nintendo characters to draw, ex AC villagers, NPCs, Kirby characters, Pok?mon, Rune Factory monsters, ect... So far recommended to me are-
Isabelle
Curt *Done*
Toadette
That one villager with the houndstooth pants
Kevin the wheezing pig

I also plan on drawing Meta Knight, cause I used to main as him in Super Smash Bros for Wii. I also want to try to draw a Wooly. Just cause.

All requests will be considered, and I will try doing them all. These will be serious art works, full color full body (if I can with the last one) not random scribbles on a page. If you use on other sites, please give credit to my main tumblr page, full-pockets.

And happy requesting!

I've posted all three so far on my twitter

For some reason I thought dedene was darkrai until I saw the pics. I do know one thing thou, it's that I can't add Pok?mon to the will do section on my shop, just a quick doodle of Vapereon wasn't easy.

Doing my rough lines for this sketch. Might be too early bit I like how it's comin out so far. Taking Warrior's advice I used the light from my window and cropped the image, and wow it does look better already. I probably need more natrual light thou.

If it looks fuzzy it's cause I had to download it from tumblr, my phone won't let me upload direct pics to tbt for some reason, despite the fact I've done it in the past before.

Cool.

Who's Kevin? A quick Google search "Kevin Nintendo" just gave me a bunch of consoles.

Edit: oh the PIG. I started thinking about it and thought there was maybe a chicken named Kevin. Haha, oops. I never actually say him, only in comics.

looking good! it can be a pain to get natural light yes ^^; there's only about 4 hours a day I can take good pictures.... but I think for me It's better to use the natural light than a flash or a lamp

What I used to do (I can't do anymore because I deleted tumblr lol) but if you make a private post on tumblr, you can still copy that image link, and then share it on tbt using the insert image tool. This way you're not downloading the image, basically tumblr is hosting the image, it's just appearing here. I'm sorry if that sounds complicated, but it was the easiest way in my experience to post progress pictures to tbt! I don't know if you use a phone exclusively, because I generally do this from a laptop, but it SHOULD work on a phone too.

Warrior Oh nice, I'm gonna try that next time. I exclusively use my phone, I can't really have a laptop when I gots no WiFi \_?~?_/

"You're so tall Curt!"
"No, you're just short."

By the time I was done with this, is was dark outside :*)
I wanted to include some more shading as well, but I find it difficult to do such when my refs have little no none. I know the answer to this is 'imagine a light source and shade from that' but I still don't know everything to shade.
I like that I made Poppy look up, I sometimes struggle with looking direction compared to the body. Curt could be looking down a little more, but I'm happy with the way it came out.

Yes! the fact the characters are looking at eachother is very good! Keep in mind, the animal crossing characters faces are just flat textures designed to go on a model, so figuring out how the look looking down for individual villagers can be difficult, because you would logically want to draw it isn't how the ref in game looks.... basically I think you did good and for animal crossing characters especially this can be hard to work out ^^

Honestly a lack of shading on an image like this is ok, after all, in most comics that feature animal crossing characters there's no shading at all. You did good ^^

I have to say, I especially like that poppy's arm is pointing away from her torso, this helps exagerate her looking up and how short she is!
