I love genji because I love the Japanese literature piece Tale of Genji
Dobby because he is just a cute old man, and i never had a grandpa so lowkey made him my grandpa
Eloise becuase she was my first friend in the OG gamecube era

Story time... I have bad teeth.

Okay that was a terrible story, allow me to elaborate. My two main front teeth grew in backwards because my mouth is small, on top of that, they overcrowded my mouth growing that way which in turned caused another one to grow out more than it should have, and long story short... I got made fun of for it a lot growing up, and to this day, still feel a twinge of self-conscious whenever someone fixates their gaze on my mouth (which you can always tell when they do when its something you've always lived with). Even though its something about myself I can't help it sometimes genuinely feels like people think I just didn't take care of my oral hygiene, and still don't, even though I go to the dentist's regularly for cleanings and the only real problem that still remains is I can't afford braces and my family shirked on it when I was younger, leaving me to have to face it alone.

What does this have to do with Moe?

People don't like him because of his buck teeth... and so, he's very dear to me as a character, someone that's relatable in a big way that's not commonly found on any platform. There is nothing wrong with his design, and even more than that, he gets to be a comfort to the few of us who grew up with the same kind of 'imperfection' that he flaunts adorably.

I really, really love Moe.

I can't say enough to how much he means to me.

AWW this is so precious :' ) I honestly relate to this story too. I also had pretty bad teeth growing up. If people don't like Moe for that, it is pretty sad. He honestly does flaunt it adorably. His lazy personality makes him even more endearing. This is the exact reason I started to love Moe in New Leaf. When I bumped into him on one of my Mystery Island tours, I was happy and ready to welcome him back home. Thank you so much for this story and sharing your lovely art of Moe! <3

Edit: and he's my favorite because of sentimental value. I had him in my new leaf town for the longest time and he was my first best friend, and the one who gave me his picture first. When I was lonely, he was always there for me. I love that bunny boy. <3

I'm not really sure how popular Dotty is but I love this peppy child! She adores bugs but also fashion and fame, which makes for an interesting combo. She never fails to make me laugh with her thoughts and conversations with my other villagers. Also her eyes turn red when she's surprised or excited.

i know someone's already said her and idk if she's truly "unpopular" but you gotta respect draw my girl hazel. she's perfection.

oh and alternatively, no one talks about pecan? love her to death since GCN.

I've seen Rocket get a lot of hate and I don't really understand why?? I had her in New Leaf and she was actually pretty cool! When I found out that the two starting villagers in NH would be a jock and an uchi, I hoped that either her or Hazel (who I feel is another severely underrated villager!) would be one of my two starters. I don't know how popular the rest of the superhero villagers are, but they always seemed to be more popular than Rocket and thats kinda sad. I wish she was as loved and appreciated as the others

He's my favorite jock and overall one of my favorite villagers, his fur patterns are beautiful. Anteaters irl are weird but awesome.

Hot take; I like Megan more than Judy, and I think I probably always will. She just has such a welcoming look, such a positive vibe that makes my heart feel light. Same with Aurora, who I too don't understand the missed hype for. She's precious, as most of the penguin villagers are. I love them both very much!

Puddles!! I don't know where she lies on the tier list but she's definitely not mentioned a lot in my experience. She was a random move in on my island and she is SO cute! Any conversation I have with her leaves me in a smile.

I like the premise of this character a lot! The idea that she has the lips she does because she's looking to be kissed by a prince/princess is very cute, its a nice twist on the Frog Prince story, adorable.

New favorite I think-- I vibe with Hazel's complete and total confidence in herself but...

Marcel, oh Marcel... why is it Pietro can be loved as a clown sheep but Marcel as a mime doggo cannot? I have a strange affinity for things that are normally seen as scary being depicted as completely lovely and innocent, so, I really strongly love Marcel and Pietro both, I mean, a sheep and a dog, two very cuddly animals, two sweeties just trying to shut down a stigma, Marcel isn't creepy at all, the whole point of him is that he's not hhh.
