Going on an Island Hopping spree to recruit new Villagers. Wish me luck!

Ugh, I saved up about 42k of nook miles to try and find someone cool after Scoot moved out and still haven't found anyone with 7k left. Sob.

SAME Blew over 40k miles island hopping and I just ended up recruiting Papi on my final ticket because I want to sleep and I don't want to leave it completely up to chance since Nook might move in someone completely random soon.

I saw so many alligators and hippos it wasn't even funny, and just the most bottom-tier villagers I didn't even know existed. My previous games have been too kind to me with the cute villagers, my luck in ACNH has been atrocious lol.

I've been saving up a bunch of tickets since Graham is finally moving out. He and Katt are the last villagers on my island I really can't stand. I really want Sherb and I'm torn between going island hopping with all the tickets I've been hoarding or saving them and trying to get him online from someone else.

Came back to report that my island hopping is finally over! I've been island hopping for about 10 hours and I finally got a dreamie. OH MY GOD THAT WAS THE WORSE!
Good thing I have over 300 of each rock material now though uwu

Last night I got Dobie, who I always found cute, and being a massive fan of the Cranky villagers, I love that he looks cranky!
Today I had to use 3 Nook Miles tickets as I wanted a Snooty villager, or at the very least someone I would love to have in my village. First one was Butch, nope. Second was Hippeux, who I actually don't mind that much lol, but didn't want either. Lastly I got Friga, and being snooty, I invited her!
I've places the last remaining 2 plots now, I'm undecided whether to amiibo them or take it up to chance and use Nook Miles or Campsite. I like to be surprised so I think Campsite and Nook Miles

Island-hopping is hilarious yet torturous at the same time. I love it.

Saturday I only spent like 10 tickets and found Tipper, who is a good enough snooty for me.

Yesterday I spent about 20 tickets and settled for Tom the cranky cat (I needed a cranky) after debating if I wanted to invite Pierce the jock eagle.

Today I thought about inviting Peanut the peppy squirrel, but decided against it, and then invited Zucker the lazy octopus. Pretty happy with him even though he's not my #1 lazy, he allows me to move out my current lazy (Prince, who I like but would let go) if he asks.

I've still been struggling to find Goldie out of the like 40 or 50 tickets I've spent the past few days. I'm going to stock up on miles tonight and hope my 10th villager is Goldie or someone else I really adore.

I plan to do more island hopping tomorrow.
I have 4 Nook Miles tickets and about 20k Nook Miles to spare but I also feel a built guilty because I could actually be building cool stuff for my island with that.

Well, I was prepared to burn through 60 tickets on my continued quest for Raymond, but about 8 tickets in I got Reneigh, and she’s my favorite Uchi villager now so I decided to not push my luck and invite her. When I get Hazel out of my town I will keep searching for Raymond... or if I somehow manage to save like 600 tickets where my odds are really high of finding him. XD

Oh man, seeing how long people have been island hopping is so discouraging!

I'm hunting for my 8th villager at the moment, and I've only used four NMT so far.... each island was either a goat or hippo, my least favorite villager types, uuuuugh! I got Dizzy on my fourth island who I feel neutral about, and wondered if it's better to just have someone I sorta like rather than leaving it up to random chance.

I'll probably do a couple more mystery tours tonight and cross my fingers... I've hoping and praying for Reneigh, I want her SO much! But no luck so far....

Update: spent the past two days just going on Island Tours. I think I spent 40 tickets the past two days and did not find Goldie. I mean, the odds are not in my favor, but I'm going to keep looking until someone random moves into the 10 slot.

However, my attempts to get Goldie and just Goldie have been painful to say the least. If I had seen some of the snooty and cranky villagers a few days ago before I moved anyone in, I would have been ecstatic. Now the fact I had to pass them up is discouraging, but I have seen Octavian like 3 times so maybe I'll get him in the future (and Daisy twice in 3 tours! Wrong normal dog game!)

I found Sherb today on a hybrid island.
I was actually looking for Zucker.
Before seeing him in-game, I thought he looked a bit plain... but my, oh my! He's the cutest thing ever.
So now I'll need two lazy boys in my town.
It took me about 5 tries to get him today and I was close to giving up to be honest because I was getting some questionable villagers in-between.

Whenever I go on a tour, I also make it a point to fish, catch bugs and harvest all the resources to sell or I feel guilty about spending my Nook Mile Tickets. lol... So those 5 times actually took forever. But it was worth it.

these sought after villagers really be appearing on hybrid islands! inch resting............ they coded this in some way else. not just random.
