This topic seems like it could make for an interesting thread considering the sheer amount of courses that exist now. Which Mario Kart tracks do you think stand out as some of the best in the series? I'm sure this kind of thread has already been made at some point during the site's history but I couldn't find anything when I tried looking for one.
I'm sure this doesn't come as a huge surprise considering my username, but Maple Treeway is my favorite track in Mario Kart Wii. Everything about it, the scenery, the music, and the track itself being surprisingly difficult makes it almost perfect in my opinion. Autumn is my favorite season, so it is nice to see it done so well in this track.
Moonview Highway, another track from Wii, is also an incredibly strong entry in my opinion. It takes what was good about Toads Turnpike and gives it much more complexity than a simple loop. It takes quite a bit of skill to be able to evade vehicles effectively, so it is really rewarding when you are finally able to. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning, and I especially hope for an HD remake.
Finally something not from Mario Kart Wii. I really like Super Bell Subway from Mario Kart 8. The above-ground portion kind of reminds me of Coconut Mall, another strong Wii track, and the underground portion has a lot of interesting pathways. I also like the small reference to 3D World, a generally inconsequential Mario game.
