Know any life hacks with hair to make styling/managing your hair easier?

For me, when your hair is wet, put them into two twintail braids or even french braids. Sleep with them in and when you wake up and your hair is dry, you got wavy goodness!
Same with straight hair, when your hair is wet, using bobbypins, pin your hair flat against your head and unpin when you wake up and your hair is dry. Tadah! Straight hair!

If your hair is frizzy, try rubbing a dryer sheet over the frizzy parts to help calm it down.

Unfortunately the braids trick doesn't work for me. I have very fine and straight hair. My best investment was purchasing a deep waver. It's like a giant crimper, hides the grease better than dry shampoo.

For my case, I find purchasing a coloured dry shampoo hides my roots, instead of getting my hair re-coloured when it fades/grows out.

I've used this technique many of times and it's worked like a charm every time. I'd sit in front of the mirror at night and create a french braid with my wet hair, I would then wake up the next morning and unravel my hair (it's the best feeling!).

wooo definitely~ I had my hair almost to my waist at one point then cut it all off and got a pixie cut :) I swear it feels like you lose 10 pounds off your head in a day, kinda weird but cool

Honestly I wish there was a way to tame the weird ass mess that is my hair, it looks so good at times but only if I spend time trying to make it look nice. It's not naturally straight and I have tried so many methods to make it straight it's just terrible. :( I did cut it shorter so it made it easier to deal with!

Wavy/curly thick hair here. Braided pigtails for me are actually more like four braids in order to get the waviness I want, but I have to use the right products in order for it to turn out. When I get out of the shower at night, I dry my hair until it's damp and then I pump a little conditioner and some smoothing serum into my palm and then some defining, moisturizing mousse. I rub that together and put it into my hair before braiding it and going to bed.

I also love to plop my hair. If you have curly hair, look it up. It's my favorite way of styling my natural hair, and it's super easy and heatless!

If I put my hair in a bun or braids it will literally still be wet a whole day later, my hair is super thick and retains moisture so much.

My hair is so thick and curly and unmanageable I can't brush it even, so I comb through it with my fingers to get out the knots and stuff and the only time I use an actual comb, is when it is full of oil or conditioner. I do an oil treatment at least once a month on my hair to make it nice and soft, even then it's still a nightmare to deal with.

I'll have to start plopping, I already use a shirt to dry my hair but I just do it as a turban, I'll have to give plopping a try!

i have really short hair so for me it's usually just making sure that i don't go to bed with wet hair because then my hair will have a really weird shape when i wake up ...
pro tip tho cut it all off it is way easier

i use a sculpting gel for my curly hair and it really helps my curls retain its springy shape and makes it smell wonderful! i cant live without it!

Two simple solutions for people with long, frizzy, and uncontrollable hair: cut it short or put it back in a ponytail.

My side bangs are usually a pain in the ass but I saw a youtube video where you put bangs back tightly against your head into a ponytail. Let it dry. The top of my head dries but the bottom half doesnt cause I have thick and wavy hair so I just take it out when my bangs are dry and just let it naturally dry at the bottoms. Because of this, I have started getting natural ringlets. It's pretty hilariously cool!

Tfw my mom told me to brush my waves. Nooooo don't ever! It makes it look really bad if you brush curly/wavy hair. ;w;

if i ever can't be bothered brushing my hair (i.e. almost every day), i just put it up in a bun. and the good thing is that if your hair has some texture from not being brushed it gives your bun more volume!

The more buns you have the cuter you are btw. Like one bun, eh that's ok, two buns, aww cute, THREE BUNS? super cute! Four buns! Omg so many buns so many cutes! I have tested this and it's very acurate

Yeah I have very thick hair with a good texture so I can pretty much put it up and get away with it which I had to do once when I forgot my brush at home and I was away...

I mostly brush so it doesn't get too tangled then it's a hell getting those out.

I've done the braids with wet hair so many times but when I take them out in the morning my hair is uncontrollable. My hair is naturally straight btw

i have long thick hair down to my back and i hate it, i keep putting of getting it trimmed though. it gets tangled constantly (bc im too stubborn to wear it up) so i pull out half my hair trying to get the knots out. when im at home though, i put them in braids and that's really the only things that stops tangles lol

my hair is not quite that long but it's also really thick, and because i am in bed all the time i find my hair gets SUPER tangled, and sometimes even matted if i don't keep my hair in braids or a bun when i'm at home. :(
