Happy Home Designer - Frequently Asked Questions (Got a question? Look here!)

Hello! Anyone knows how to restart the game? I didn't like how I decorated the school and I want to replay again :)

Thanks!
I don't actually know how but if that helps - you will soon have a chance to redecorate the school (it will be expanded) and there also be Digby standing in the office every morning so you will be able to come with him to every community building you have decorated so far and change it.

*trumpet fanfare*

Have added a couple of new Qs about character customisation, clothing, and what happens if you hate something you designed.

I don't know if this has been already asked or what but... Is there online gameplay in this game? :D

This is probably a stupid question, but I want to ask it anyways lol: is there any special interactions or functions to the public buildings you get to build, besides decorating it? For example, if you make a restaurant, do the villagers actually eat the food (rather than the food just being there as decoration) and can you do things with them? Yeah, I know the purpose of the game is to design homes, but I was just curious if you could have some fun interaction with them and the furniture in other ways.

I think that eventually you will be able to decorate every single villager in the game a house. Therefore there will be way more than one section of land in the town. I hope you get to choose their jobs, because I am already choosing where I want the villagers to work when I get the game and unlock it.

you can chose their job if you have their amiibo card, otherwise it's random

Can one change the decoration in completed houses again after completing a job? Like you have unlocked new furniture after decorating another villagers house and think, Ah! Thta would match much better in that villagers house!

Yes! You can also redecorate any community building you want.

I guess this was a dumb question. :/

People may not even know the answer to your question, decided not to reply and save it for someone who knows. Just because no one answers doesn't mean it's dumb; just be patient for a reply. The game only came out last month :)

No such thing! You posted after I went to bed and my job is such that I only get snatches of time in which to respond; it's possible that your post just got overlooked by others or they didn't know the answer, rather than that they made a judgement about your question.

Based on what I've seen in gameplay vids and pix in the #achappyhome twitter feed, villagers will indeed interact with stuff. They don't appear to physically eat the food, but they hold cutlery, dab their lips with a napkin, hold and "sip" from cups, sing along with the music if you give them a microphone, play maracas and tambourines, get excited about shop displays, etc. You can also give them jobs in shops and public buidings, so they'll be doctors and nurses, waiters, teachers, chefs and shop assistants, among other things. You can also pose them to stage photos.

Hope this helps! Back to work!

What happens after you design a home for every villager and NPC? Do you just do it all over again?
