That's funny I stopped at six donations this morning as well. Then had to go in for a teacher in service day. When I get back home. I have the pictures moved I will be putting my Journal up.

Curious do you use the nook link on the nintendo app too. I am thinking of featuring my islands newspaper and wondered who else did so.

It was the same for me. Had to go up for I'm service kids come back tomorrow. Had to get ready for them. I am going to finish up the donations tonight, and get day one of my journal up, which I am working on now.

Jan 2nd :continued: across the river

I went exploring over on the other side of the river. I found a nice place to put the museum once I can move it. I found some cosmos flowers but couldn’t reach them. I need a ladder to reach the cliff but still need the DIY. I did find some fossils and a few fish to donate to Blathers.

We now have enough exhibits to open the museum.

The rest of the fish and bugs will sit outside until I can donate them.
Bought a couple of new DIY’s from Timmy. It was for a slingshot and DIY’s for beginners.

The first balloon I shot down had a basketball hoop in it. I put it outside Hamlet’s house . Now I just need to find him a basketball. The other balloon had a DIY for underwater flooring.
Unfortunately I did get stung by a wasp but Sylvia gave me a DIY for some medicine.

I paid Nook back in nook miles .

He asked if I wanted to move from a tent to a house .

I can’t wait to have storage instead of placing things on the floor of the tent.

He told me about a nook mile upgrade and how you can make extra nook miles.

I used my nook miles to expand my inventory so I can carry more items. I also used it for DIY’s to get better tools.

I found a Manila clam and can now make fish bait.

While I was exploring I saw a ghost his name is wisp. He thought I was the ghost.

He asked me to find his spirits.

In return he gave me a gift

After a good long day it’s time for bed. I’m sure tomorrow will be another busy day.

Jan 3rd :

Today’s announcement was that the Museum will be built tomorrow. It’s is under construction today . We will have to wait until tomorrow to donate anything.

The first thing I did was check the mail. I ordered Sylvia, Hamlet and myself a camper tee and they arrived today . There was also a letter from the HHA congratulating me on my house. They even sent a gift.

It was a DIY for a wooden end table. I decided to make two of them with the materials I collected yesterday.
Next I went over for some morning aerobics.

Nook and Timmy were having a conversation when I went in.

They want to build a shop on the island.
Timmy asked if I would help them build it.

Of course I will help. I already have some of the materials. Time to collect some more.

I was able to get all the wood and got some nice gifts in return.
I received a garbage can, mint dot flooring and a cute music player.
I bought a sleeping bag and a picnic basket from Timmy.
I found the DIY for a wooden bed in the message in a bottle. I decided to make one . Slowly decorating my house .

I found someone sleeping on the beach. His name is Gulliver and he needed help fixing his communicator.

It didn’t take long to find the missing pieces.

He said he would mail me a gift as thanks . So excited to see what it will be.
Hamlet and Sylvia found out I was looking for materials for the shop and wanted to help.

Thanks so much for the iron nuggets. They are a huge help. I found 5 more iron nuggets in a balloon.

Sylvia gave me a axe she must have seen how many of those I broke today. Tools are always helpful.
I ended up being 5 iron nuggets short but I’m sure I will find them tomorrow.
I ordered a few more things from nook shopping and they will arrive tomorrow.
I sent Hamlet and Sylvia their camper tees in the mail since I couldn’t hand deliver them.

I am now half way finished with paying off my loan for my house. Maybe I can pay the rest off tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great night.

Museum opening

Today we have some exciting news . The museum is now officially open.

I can’t wait to explore it.

we don’t have many exhibits so far but I can’t wait until we do.

Giving more fossils.
We currently have more bugs then fish .

Hopefully we will have more fossils soon

After exploring the museum for awhile it was time for the ceremony.

Jan 4th :

Today has already been an exciting day and it’s only just started. So many exciting things happening today. I checked my mail and had received a gift from Gulliver.

He had sent me an elder mask .
I also received some items I had ordered yesterday. I met someone new today . Her name is Saharah and she sells rugs and wallpaper . I bought a few rugs and wallpaper from her .

I decided to use the sea view wallpaper and the yellow kilim-style carpet.

Saharah even joined us for aerobics

Both Hamlet and Sylvia now have houses. They don’t have much furniture so I sent them both simple wooden beds in the mail. I also made a few more items to send them tomorrow.

There is a rumor on the island that if you find a glowing spot on the ground and plant bells it will grow into a bell tree. I planted a few the last few days just waiting until they are fully grown.

I noticed later on I had more mail . It was from Hamlet and Sylvia thanking me for the camper tees.

I found the last of the iron nuggets I needed to give Timmy.

He wanted me to pick a spot for the store. It took some thinking and moving of trees but I like the place I picked.

They were so happy I found a place for their store.

I’m so glad I could help you especially after you both have helped me. I’m sure your store will be fantastic. I did pay more of my home loan but not all of it. I ordered some new shirts that will arrive tomorrow. Now it’s time for bed . Hope everyone has a great night.

Thanks , I have been having so much fun. Luckily I had a half day of work yesterday so had time. Today I only have some time in the morning. 12 hour work day today but off tomorrow.

Grand opening of Nook’s Cranny

Today is the opening of Timmy and Tommy’s store . We held a ceremony for them.

They will be open from 8am-10pm. He explained that they will have a box outside to sell items when they are closed.

Your shop will be amazing and I can wait to visit .
When I got there a friend of theirs had come for a visit. She said she was checking up on them. So nice of her.

She wanted to know if they needed any help.

Timmy had a great idea of how she could help. He asked her to be the clothing supplier for the island.

I can’t wait to see what clothing we can get on the island.

They explained that they named the store after Tom Nook. For all the help he has given them. They sell all kinds of things.

I decided to buy a tea set and a utility sink. I looked in the cabinet and bought some new DIY’s .

I also bought some wrapping paper and some rose seeds. Can’t wait to find the right place to plant them.

Now for some breaking news:

During the morning announcements Nook received a mysterious phone call.

It sounds like someone else has decided to give the gateway package a try. I wonder who they are. How they heard about it. Is someone else really coming to join us on our adventure. If so I can’t wait to meet them.

usually I play in the evenings for about an hour or two. Friday I can only play in the morning since I go in a bit later. I got a lot done this morning since I woke up earlier then usual.

Breaking News Update: Nook’s Mysterious Phone Call.

I reported in a post this morning that Nook had a mysterious phone call . As island representative it’s my job to investigate and see if he needs any help. As I walked in I heard the end of a conversation he was having with someone.

After he hung up he realized I was there.
He explained that he has been advertising for our island getaway.

He said not one but three have applied for the getaway package.

According to Nook he was so excited about the prospect of new neighbors that he promised them furnished houses.

It was then he asked for my help in getting everything ready.

As island representative it is my job to make sure everyone feels welcome . I would love to help you. This is going to be so much fun.

Now I’m even more excited to help. I wonder what he has in mind.

I wonder what those instructions will be. Check back later and find out. I can’t wait to see who the new neighbors will be.

Jan 6th : A bridge and the first plot


Good morning, according to Nook he didn’t have any news even though Mabel had stopped by for the first time.

He did give me a DIY for a shell wreath . I made one for my door . When I get enough shells I will make one for Hamlet and Sylvia for their doors.

I went over to see Mabel. I bought a bunch of things from her.

I hope I can help you with your dream.

I then went to see Nook. He told me we have to build a bridge first .

I decided to place the bridge behind R,S . It will make it easier to get to Nook’s Cranny. It will be ready tomorrow.

Yup I found the perfect place for the bridge. He then gave me three housing plots. I will only be placing one at a time. I want each villager to get settled before someone else arrives.

He also gave me a bunch of DIY recipes for making the furniture for the houses. He also gave me the DIY for the ladder. Now I can explore the cliffs.

It was easy to build everything since I had been collecting materials the last few days.

I went back and let Nook know the house was ready .

I thought he was being a bit optimistic that we would have someone by tomorrow. He said he would make an announcement the day someone moves in. He would also put up a sold sign on the house .
I was surprised to see the sold sign already up. That sure was fast. I can’t wait to see who it will be. I want it to be a surprise for tomorrow. Will be hard to wait but so excited.

Nice , do you have a location picked out for the shop? I know where I will eventually place the next two houses but for now they will go on the beach. I plan on placing them around the heart shaped lake but need to wait until I can terraform and make that cliff a bit bigger.

Jan 6th : continued

I went over to Nook’s cranny this afternoon to see what they had for sale. They told me about new services they have. Talked about Turnips and that they never buy them on Sundays.

They talked about hot items and that they sell for a higher price .

The last thing they talked about was the drop off box

I bought a bunch of things from them today. I bought a hose reel , handcart and toolbox. Those will be great for when I start my farm. I also bought a wetsuit so I can now go diving. I bought some more wrapping paper.
I learned about reactions from Hamlet.

I found enough sea shells to make hamlet and Sylvia shell wreaths.

I’m glad you like it . Hamlet gave me a vertical- stripes shirt in return.

Sylvia also liked her wreath.
Hamlet noticed the new house being built.

I am definitely ready to make a new friend .
I almost forgot the bell tree I planted is now fully grown.

I spent the evening diving. It was so much fun.

I found so many sea creatures I got two nook mile achievements for them.

While I was diving I met Pascal. He wanted my scallop.

Since you asked so nicely of course you may have it. I’m sure I will find another one.

He gave me the recipe for a Mermaid Sofa . Then gave me some advice.

I can honestly say I never really thought about it.

Jan 7th : New Neighbor

Today is an exciting day a new friend has arrived. I got up early so I could see who it was . Nook said in his announcement that his name is Doc.

I went over to welcome him.

Let me know if you need anything. He seem like a great guy. I’m sure we will be great friends.
As I was passing by Hamlet’s house I noticed someone I never saw before.

I went over to investigate and learned his name is Redd. He has a boat and sells art. He has a ship and for some reason which he didn’t say he decided to park his boat at the back of the island instead of at the pier. Nook didn’t say anything about him but he also didn’t mention Mabel and she was in the plaza with him.

I’m not sure why he thinks we are cousins.

I am kinda curious about what art he has. I wonder if he will actually give a discount. Or if he will mark up the price then pretend it’s a discount. I will have to look into that later . As it’s now time to celebrate the bridge we made yesterday.

Doc took a break to join in on the ceremony. I’m glad he was able to make it.

Yea now we can get across a lot easier then trying to fling ourselves over with a vaulting pole. I wonder when we can build another bridge. I have a few places in mind.

Today must be the day to meet new friends as I was exploring for possible locations for houses I saw someone else I hadn’t met yet. Her name is Daisy Mae and she sells turnips. Nice to meet you.

I do not know her personally but I have heard of her.

I decided to start small and use some of the bells from my bell tree to get 200 turnips. I hope I can remember to check Nook’s Cranny each day to find out what price they are selling for.

Daisy Mae joined us for morning Aerobics.

I still need to check Nook’s Cranny and see if they have anything new. I also need to try and get more materials building furniture for the new house plot. Hope everyone is having a great day.
