Has anyone ever gotten Zucker to change back into the Flan Tank?

I'm at my wit's end here.
I've sent this dude 15 shirts in so many different ways (one at a time, gift wrapped, 2 at a time) and he refuses. Every other villager puts on what I send them.

Is it even possible to get him back in the flan shirt?
Can someone give me a success story to rekindle my hope? Haha

I've not ever had Zucker, but I'm pretty sure it would be possible to change him back! I don't see why you couldn't.

I don't have Zucker, but I've tried to get some of my villagers to wear their original shirts before. It didn't end well for me.

I did get Peanut to wear a Pulse tank from Gracies in the end though, which worked for me xD

If you talk to Isabelle and complain, their shirt changes to a blank white one.

I've been seeing you constantly ask about this, and I wish I could give you a 100% guaranteed answer. In my experience it typically takes 3 of the same shirt to get a villager to change. I've sent all of them at once and one at a time, depending on how quickly/how many shirts I have. Here's how it breaks down logically:

• The first they might place in their home, replacing a 1x1 item or filling an empty spot. Or they'll wear it.
• The second they might keep in their inventory (thus leading to no obvious change). They won't place it in their home because there is already one there. Or they'll wear it.
• The third they will wear if they haven't decided from the prior two because one is already in their home and they already have one in their inventory and they won't hold onto/place duplicates.

The fact that you've basically done this (in excess) and haven't gotten results really... really baffles me. You could try the reset trick to improve your odds:

1. Before 5pm, send all 3 of the same shirt to the villager. Save & Quit, still before 5pm.
2. Time Travel to the next day. I go to anytime past 9am just to be safe, but I don't think it makes a difference. I just jump a full day.
3. Create a new character and find the villager you sent the letters to. If they haven't changed into it, reset. If they have, go through the normal process (place a house, save for the first time, delete the character).
4. ???
5. Profit!

Only other advice I got is to do what others have said and talk to Isabelle. I think that only works if they're wearing a custom pattern from another town. Not sure if that's true. *shrug*

If Zucker doesn't change into the Flan Tank, maybe you could design a qr code similar to it and display it in the Able Sisters. Hopefully he wears it

I have good news. He changed!
It took FIFTEEN SHIRTS (they were expensive too geez) and his house is ransacked with shirts, but it happened. Thanks so much for your help, everyone. I really appreciate you humouring me while I was going completely insane buying these in bulk on our retail. Haha
