I remember when I was really young (like around 5 or 6 years old), my father and I went to our local CVS store. When he was at the counter paying for the things, I remember myself grabbing a twixt candy bar from the basket underneath the counter. A few seconds later, my dad finished paying and we walked out. I still had the twixt in my hand! He later found out that I stole the candy but we never went back to pay for it. I honesty had no idea what I did at the time!

So has anyone else ever shoplifted? Accidentally/non-accidental? If not have you witnessed other people shoplift? I saw these old ladies stuff a jar of honey into their purses recently.

i accidentally did because i wrote on a little journal once & the cashier called after us saying "yo your daughter wrote on the book y'all need to pay for it"

When I was 14, I used to open those little My Little Pony blind bags and take the ponies out, lol.

That's not shoplifting.

I accidentally stole earrings because they fell in my hood.

Not really shoplifting, but I remember my local supermarket had this little cabinet full of donuts, and I'd always take one and we'd pay for it later. On several occasions, we forgot to pay. But never on purpose.

I believe the only time i shoplifted was around 2015 ; I was doing back-to-school-shopping and suddenly i took a sharpener and a eraser and put it on my jacket bag ; When we went to pay i forgot to get these 2 out and then when i got out of the mall i saw these 2 and i realize we forgot to pay these :U Obviously we were already on home at it was around 6pm so...*shrugs*

tl ; dr : Stole a eraser and sharpener

otherwise i have never shoplifted and if i ever did i must have been really small to do it

no. and I don't understand kids that do it. like just..too "slow" to realize that it's wrong or?

When I was a kid yes, but it was very little things. Whenever my mom and I would go to craft stores, I'd pick up little things lying around that had fallen out of displays, etc. Like, fake flowers and leaves. The biggest thing I ever technically stole was a small charm. It was some silver plated crescent moon charm, cute lil engravings, and a fake blue gem on it. I had it for YEARS. I dunno why, but I treasured it. I dunno where it went though lol. It was probably worth like $5, but yeah...

At that age I knew, but at the time I didn't care. I was a well behaved kid, but not a good kid I guess.

I was like 5 and I felt bad that my sister was paying for me so I stole a candy bar and then I went home and felt really guilty so I flushed it down the toilet and it got clogged. And that's how my parents found out and I felt even more guilty.
I don't even know how I didn't get caught, I was literally right in front of the store clerk.

no. the only time i've stolen something was in elementary school, and they were raffle tickets from my teacher for our in-class raffles. i think a few of us took some while she was gone, but it wasn't anything wild obviously.

For me it was sort of an impluse thing I guess? Idk, I just saw some candy and I took it! I think I was about to give it to my dad but he was done and walking out of the store by then so I just followed! I immedity knew that I did something wrong though.

Animal Crossing related: when Limited Too was still around, I noticed little Animal Crossing figures, already opened and sprawled onto the ground. I can't deny shoving the Able Sisters in my pocket.

Other than that, I've never really stolen. I forgot that I had a pack of waters at the bottom of my cart at the grocery store the other day, and was already in my car about to leave. I could've gotten away with it if it wasn't for my meddling conscience, but I went back in and bought them anyways lol

Yeah, when I was a dumb little ****. Up to $800 worth of **** at one time too, not just a few things here and there. As is inevitable I got busted then talked when I should have said nothing. Was a minor at a time so some probation and fines and it was wiped off my record. Bottom line: don't steal, it's wrong and ain't worth it.

I've never stolen anything but I see other people steal every so often working in retail. People open boxes and stuff their purses, shove magazines in their coat or just walk out the door with unpaid merchandise :/ One guy would bring in bags from previous shopping trips and put merch in it to make it "look" paid for....hes banned now :)

my mom says that i once ate candy that was on the floor of a shop when i was 2 so if that counts... otherwise nah

Not really, as a kid I can remember being in the corner shop and taking this really cool pen. It had horses on it and it was light up and everything. Had already been told I couldn't have it. Anyway, felt so guilty about it that I ended up dropping it in with the sweets next time we were in the shop. Didn't do anything like it again. My cousin used to be awful for it though. She went through a really bad phase as a teenager, she would come home with electric drills and all sorts. Her dad would never stand for it and rightly made her go back to return the stuff, when he knew about it that is, I'm sure there's times she got away with it completely
