Game is sorta like Tetris 99, but only it's in Super Mario style! I'm going to download the game today and try out the game. It looks fun! Even I haven't played a mario game like this in awhile so l might be bad when it comes to online.

I have, it's pretty fun from what I have played of it! I do think some things ought to be changed though, to make the game better. The game can drag on for a while since the timer actually does not matter if there are enough enemies to max it with a star and if all the players are competent there is a sort of stalemate for a while, so maybe some other components like side scrolling could be added after a time to increase pressure.

Also the level select / unlock system seems a bit odd. I have 3-1 selected for example and after multiple matches I have still not seen it once, so I would like if that was implemented or explained better. Other than that it's quite a bit of fun and the random(I think?) order of unlocking icons is quite good at encouraging you to continue playing!

I'm with coach tbh!
I even won a few matches my first night which was really fun. It takes a bit getting used to though after playing SMM2 and them using original physics in SM35

Nope, but I saw it in the news channel thing last night so might give it a go, love those silly games aha. :D

I never knew I wanted a platformer Tetris 99 styled game until Nintendo revealed one XD

A few notes:

-This should be permanent. I can not be the only one that hates Tetris but likes the arcade-style Battle Royale mode. If it is made permanent, or even if not, I really hope Nintendo adds themes into this game, similar to Tetris 99.

-I really hope this opens up new possibilities for new battle royale spin offs of popular arcade games (i.e. Galaga/Invaders, Pac-Man [or Pac-Mania to open up space], Dig-Dug, etc.).

I really enjoy it! I finally got first today. Took me too long to realize how much you shouldn't rely on fire balls instead of comboing enemies with jumps and shells. I wish they'd make it permanent too. I don't understand Nintendo's thought process when they could be making money off of this instead of just a temporary, free experience.

Exactly. I bet a lot of people would be willing to pay for it, if they made it a full expanded game as well, not only making it for NSO members.

I still feel NSO members should be given a free limited experience like how it is with Tetris 99. There needs to be some sort of "free" permanent alternative for that game because not everyone likes Tetris.

Yeah, or that. I definitely don't like the direction Ninty has taken these days with their 'free'/NSO games.

Doesn't really ruin the experience imo. For example, with Tetris 99 if you're more of a casual gamer you can just appreciate the main fun of Tetris 99 with your order of the online membership, but they give enough to those who are willing to pay a little bit extra so that those players don't get too upset of the free experience some people can just enjoy. Basically, Nintendo can just slap on a few more modes, maybe make themes and icons one can only get by paying for the full experience and I think it can essentially be a Tetris 99 clone with both free elements (included with NSO membership) and a one time pay experience. I'm not saying I wouldn't pay for the game, but I think that Nintendo shouldn't force people to pay for this, especially when they already gave off a free vibe for it.

Yeah, I'm just saying I'd prefer to pay for a whole, full version rather than a free thing they might remove later on anyways. Slap it with a free NSO card like they did with Tetris and those who want can get it IRL also.

I have it and I absolutely love it! Highly addictive gameplay and mechanics, it's exactly a nostalgia trip but mario themed, haha!
