Have any plans for your warp pipes?

I'm curious as to how you get in the pipe.

Like, do we use a ladder?

If so, it's a little redundant, as the only reason I'd use a pipe is to replace an incline, but using a ladder to reach a pipe, to get to a place where I'd only need to use the ladder, and not the pipe AND ladder, would be pointless, so I'm hoping you just ascend the pipe by clicking on it. :)

From what was shown in the Direct, it looks like you just need to stand in front of it and(I'm assuming) push the A button.

in the trailer it looks like the villager just hops up on it.

I love the pipes and have become a bit addicted to them! I have 7 so far in hidden and semi hidden areas since they are not all that great looking. My current pipe locations are Museum/secret beach, Ables/Nooks, my house, an inaccessible cliff area, and three ‘fun’ areas. I love the randomness of jumping in the pipe and not knowing where I’ll end up!

I just wanted to post and say I ended up using my pipes how I expected- linking too far away areas, but with some added fun. I thought it'd be redundant to have a ramp leading to the second area, so I considered removing it, but decided to keep it so that I'd still have it if I removed the pipes. But I still didn't really want to use the ramp RN and felt it kind of ruined the fun of the pipes.

SO. What better way to solve my dilemma then by taking full advantage of all the Mario items and using a Thwomp to block the ramp off? It looks SUPER cute!

I didn't think I would use them. They don't match my town decor. I ended up placing on behind a tree, next to my house, and one behind my apartment building on my beach. It's so handy. I love it. You can hardly notice them too.

i'm currently using them to fast travel between my house and whichever are i'm terraforming at the moment, but i'd love to incorporate them into the finished product as well!

I have an idea for them.. there’s this one area that inaccessible without a ladder and I don’t have any more inclines. Normally I wouldn’t have minded that area and planned on just ignoring it, but it has a waterfall and I’m still needed some fish that populate above the waterfall. The highest cliff top pool. So I’m placing one below it and one above the label to be able to access it. Hopefully it doesn’t look too ugly.

The Warp Pipes are going to be so nice with their ability. I am super excited about them because it will make travel faster. I will probably put a bush infront of mine to make it fit-in with my island though.
With it's ability, it does open up windows for island design. You can make an area practically "inaccessible" or hidden from sight and use the warp pipe for transportation. You can block off a room completely in your house as if it doesn't exist and use the warp pipe that is somewhere else far away to land in that hidden room that doesn't exist. When doing a project, you can set up your pipes so you can go between your house and project area faster.
Do you have any plans for the warp pipes yet?
I know not everyone is liking the pipes for their island theme. What other means of transportation would you like to see/prefer?

How Warp Pipes Work

They are super cool, i'm putting mine in my house and to the mario themed part of the island. :)

I have one on the far end of my beach on the left side.
And one on the far end of the right side of the beach.

Its actually really helpful for getting around. Saves on backtracking
