Smash Bros Have you become better at some mains and worse at others?

Have you become better at some mains and worse at others? I?m just asking because my mains are Fox, Ryu, and Lucario, and after having played with two different friends online I noticed I did the best with Lucario. I used to be pretty good at Ryu back in Sm4sh, but nowadays in Smash Ultimate I think I?m actually better with Lucario than I am Ryu or Fox. It?s kind of strange to think about too because of the fact that Lucario is my most recent main pickup. So, what mains have you become better at and which ones have you become worse at?

I mained Peach in Melee and Wario in Brawl and Sm4sh. I'm awful with Peach and Wario in Ultimate, but my one 'for fun' character in Melee was Young Link.

Turns out I am pretty good with Young Link in Ultimate, and he's been my main for a while now. Mario is my secondary.

I can't think of any characters that I've done significantly better with, but I've absolutely gotten worse with Zelda.
Well not worse, but she is a lot different and I can't really get used to it. You can't drag people down with nair, her jab isn't just 1 hit anymore (which is probably for the better but I was more comfortable with the old one), and elevator isn't really a thing anymore. I also can't really get used to her new Phantom. She's been in my top 3 most played characters in every game except the first ofc, but she isn't even in my top 10 in Ultimate.
Also I liked her Twilight Princess design a lot more than her new one

Well I just figured out after playing a lot of offline and online Smash Ultimate today that I suck with Fox and Ryu, so I’m going to be dropping them as mains finally after all these years.

On the plus side, I’ve become significantly better with Dark Pit and Lucario, so they’re probably going to end up being my new mains. I’m not fully decided on my official main and secondaries, though I’m leaning towards Dark Pit being my new official main and Lucario being a secondary.

Now I just have to find time to branch out and try out different characters to see who else I can become good at. Ideally I would like to add three to five more characters that I can use as secondaries, but we’ll see what happens. shrugs.

Samus and Dark Samus went from being characters that I just kind of pick sometimes to being some of my best and actually became mains alongside my usual mains of Ike, Marth, and Lucina. I've also found myself doing pretty consistently well with Captain Falcon lately. Really like using Peach/Daisy too, though they're my most inconsistent.

Wouldn't say I'm really slipping with any, though Lucina has been stealing Marth's spotlight for me because of her average hit having a bit more damage to it.

In the 3ds version, the only character I was really good at was Rosalina, and I kind of expected that to carry over to Ultimate, but in Ultimate I'm a lot better at Villager and Isabelle than I thought I would be. I like Villager more now anyways because it gives me more range, and Isabelle's fishing rod is pretty OP too.
