Help I cracked my phone

Um I don't think it's that bad I just think my dad is going to hit me or something

"just think my dad is going ot hit me or something"
if it hurts you, call child protective services, it's no way to raise a child.
don't tell them if they are going to hurt you.

the back of my phone is really busted up but luckily my screen isn't. maybe you should get a new phone for christmas? because i'm sure it's as expensive as getting the screen fixed. i know your parents might be really angry though
also, if your dad might hit you over a broken phone i suggest you tell someone you trust (probably an adult) or get child protective services because that's just wrong

only way is to tell them if you want to get it fixed. they'll be the one providing the money to have it fixed not you soo...

what if you have a job

---

also, last year i dropped my phone in pe, and the screen completely shattered. texted my mom, but she just said that we could get it sorted, she wasnt mad or anything bc accidents happend so i just got it as an early christmas present and sold the old phone l o l

Is your phone under warranty?
I think at times we have all been scared of our parents. It depends to what extent as to whether it is abusive or not.
Whether people agree or disagree, a lot of parents use physical discipline with their kids. Has your dad ever hit you before? Is it that he gets really angry when you've done something? My mom would get very angry at me at times as a kid, I was definitely scared of stepping out of line and that wasn't a bad thing. I remember breaking my new touch screen phone when I was 16 and she wasn't best pleased having to get me another.
Only you know your situation, would he normally get so mad at you over something that was an accident?
If your mom is the calmer of the two, could you maybe talk to her on your own?

Oh and I was saying about the warranty, with things like Apple phones I know they come with 12 months free and you can take your phone to them. Not sure how it works with accidents and things like that. I took my phone to them when the headphone thing broke and they just replaced the phone. That's assuming you've got an Apple phone. But I'm sure other models would also carry a warranty, maybe worth having a look?

also i agree with this, if the company you bought it from has a warranty you can get it fixed if u take it to them  i took my phone headphones to apple because they werent playing sound in one year, didnt question it and just switched it out

and i agree with bunnilla in that having a good case is a lifesaver. i used a cheap but cute case when mine broke, and the case bounced off. now i just use a clear one but its rlly sturdy

Most warranties won't cover accidental damage, intentional damage... basically they won't cover a lot of things, to save the company money. Heck, Samsung's warranty doesn't even cover water damage to their water resistant phones. Basically, the warranty is only valid if you've not tampered with the hardware or software and the device just magically stops working one day.

Hey, it happens. Don't worry about it too hard, just straight up tell your parents that you cracked it and you're sorry.

Besides, its not like its on them. Its your phone, you just gotta deal with a crack in it.

Also, what model is it? Applecare might have a warrenty on it if its new.

Really? That's ridiculous. I know phone insurance companies are basically a waste of money. I wasn't able to claim on my last phone which had been lost/stolen. There's too many loopholes and they always get around it. Thought warranty would be different...especially with Apple.
