Help me choose between 2 town maps!

Map 2. Re-tail and Town Hall are lined up nicely, there's more open room it looks like, and the Plaza's not against a cliff.
Maybe think of how you will be using it too instead of just how it looks. For example, I would personally choose map 1 because I do a lot of online trading and I prefer to have a Re-Tail that is close to my train station in case I want to put up items there or let people in to sell turnips.
Because of the position of retail. My retail in both my towns is right by the train station, plus the atms right up main street and lockers are right there too. It just makes things go faster. Now some may argure to have retail by the dock which is fine but if you don't have an atm in a house near by your still gonna run to main street.

Map 2 looks cool, but idk if there would be a lot of room for PWP. Maybe if you did the plot reset trick & stuck as many villagers inside the river as possible. Make a little neighbourhood around your Re-tail.
I actually like the plaza more centered on the map, rather than shoved on the side. Who wants an event where the backdrop is a cliff? :c

I have to go with Map Two. Even though it has more ponds, the houses are placed very nicely, and I love where the plaza is. ♥

I guess instead of looking at it like I might make a big mistake, I should think they're both great and that I can't go wrong...?

Well, I think I've decided! I'm going to go for map 2 because people were generally pretty passionate about it when they saw it. I know it has its drawbacks but I'm prepared to live with them. In the end I found the most helpful thing in my decision making was the fact that Map 2 has one long strip of beach instead of two, and that the town square wasn't next to a cliff. For some reason when I tried to imagine what having the town square there would be like, it made me feel claustrophobic.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out! You guys all made a great case for both! Hopefully this means I can't go wrong either way!
