HHD at Target in US

Just spoke with the electronics manager at a local Target. He had a price sticker for the HHD bundle with the Amiibo reader. Price= 49.99 USD.

They have all the stock they are going to have ready for Friday. It sounds like they had one New Nintendo 3DS HHD bundle.

They did not have a place yet for the non Amiibo regular copy of HHD. The HHD Reader bundle was in the top prime spot in the planogram.

They received less than a box of Amiibo cards. It sounds like they got just three packs.

Also...all 3DS games are going up about 60 cents. New Leaf is now $ 30.59 USD.

Anyone else see prices going up where they live or see HHD info?

The manager was quite in shock when he did not "confirm nor deny" that they had a very low inventory of cards.

I asked him if he had cards. He looked puzzled. "Cards?"

Yes. cards. I explained to him what the cards looked like, that they appear to be hanging on racks.

Oh, this is a SuperTarget too with a very large electronics section.

I can tell from the conversation that they definitely did not get a box of cards. Very, very sad.

Now I'm worried reading all these comments. How am I going to convince my mother to shuttle me from place to place searching for cards if Gamestop runs out and Target only has a handful. The guy who worked there (GS) literally crossed himself when he started talking about their availability.

Target isn't really a specialty gaming store (even if some have a large electronics section). That said, if you're having a hard time with Target or Gamestop, see if a local gaming store (even a tabletop game store) can stock the cards. They might have to order them and it might take a little while, but something's better than nothing, you know?

Also check Barnes and Noble, some of their stores will stock cards like those!

I think they're should just be one thread for all the us stores and what they will and will not have, so it's easier for people to figure out what they're doing on release day. I remember someone saying Nintendo announced the 3ds bundle as a game stop exclusive, which clearly wasn't the right information to tell people><

That said, I find it really hard to believe no store is having pre orders for the cards online? Toys r us will have some cards as well too, and walmart. If you're looking to have a complete series though it might be best to pay more and get those boxes off amazon, otherwise find someone who is ready to make trips to different stores and buy some as well for you ><

I just ordered from amazon was only able to get 4 packs but im not dealing with all the fuss running around if they have some at gamestop on release i may pick up a few

However i wouldnt advise ording online from target i just saw a price for amiibo cards for 12.99 Usd not sure if its for 2 packs or 1 doesnt say, could also be maybe a place holder!?

Yeah, as someone who works at Target as well I can confirm that cards are currently listed at $13 a pack, however Targets price match policy allows you to match with Walmart or Best Buy so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

What I'm really worried about is stock. Was in store yesterday and that particular store hadn't gotten any Amiibo cards yet. >_<. I may have to drive around to many Targets and clear out the inventory, because I have a great hunger for cards, lol.

Also, just as an FYI for anyone planning to go to a Target or Best Buy, the iPhone6s is also dropping that morning as well. Don't think the demand is gonna be that high, considering it's Target and Best Buy, however you might face some lines, so yeah.

As for me, I work the Mobile department, so I've gotta get out there @ 8am, which I was planning on doing so I could get HHD, but now have to wait until it dies down and I can take a quick break to buy the game and cards, lol.

Implan on actually getting my game tonight at gamestop since i also pre ordered nba2k16 for my bf the man at gamestop said i should be able tompicknupmthe game at the same time!!!
