High school and university help

I don't know the answer for this so hopefully people here can help me out

I am choosing courses for grade 11, a career I would like to pursue is an elementary school teacher. I have to chose my courses and have been thinking about Biology, It sounds interesting but I don't know if I really need to take it for what I wanna do. I already am taking Co-op which really makes me have a hard semester, and Bio is a lot of work, so I need help, do I need Bio to become a teacher or will it help me in anyway?

You most likely will have to take the class at some point, but that will be in college. Taking it in high school won't really matter (unless it's IB/AP Biology so you can get college credit).
Focus on high school first. Do you need to take the class to graduate? If so then the answer should be pretty obvious. Otherwise if you're still interested in the subject you should take it! The workload in standard Bio should be pretty much the same as any other science class you've taken. IB/AP of course is a completely different story and you should prepare for that if that's what you're taking.
Personally, I was a science freak and took just about every science class my HS offered and even though I enjoyed Biology, it was probably my least favorite. I enjoyed chemistry, viruses & diseases (which is technically a Bio class but the focus on something useful like how to not get sick is more interesting than learning about what a plant's composition is imo), and ASTRONOMY! more, but that's personal taste.
