Hopper the Penguin vs Ken the Chicken - Need Help Selecting Extra Male Villager - Who Lives? Who DIES!?

Well, I am considering swapping out Ken for Hopper. Hopper is my all time favorite villager, and I would love to have him on my island. However, my current "extra male" Ken, is an amazing villager too. I would really like to keep him, and unlike in New Leaf I don't have to worry about him changing his outfit to something other than his default one.

Who do you guys think should be my final villager.

I love his interior actually. The Frozen Set is amazing. But them again Ken's is just as good

I wanted to vote Ken, but seeing Hopper is your favorite, I say go for your favorite. I honestly like the look of both. I never used to like any of the chickens but I now am liking quite a few including Ken. This is your island and if you are seeking change and if you like Hopper more, go for it. If you ever want Ken again, you can always see if anyone is giving him away if you don’t want to island hop for him & if you don’t have his amiibo cost.

I really like Ken's house exterior but, you need your favorite villager. So Hopper it is.

I love Hopper as well and am throwing my support behind him. He just has that really distinct and appealing macaroni penguin design with those red eyes and those yellow crest eyebrows of his. His house's interior design is also more interesting than Ken's in this game. Ken is all right in my opinion, but he just doesn't compare to Hopper.

Ken is best chicKEN! Ken's design, house and theme is great. A ninja chicken!!

But go for Hopper since he's your all-time favorite. I would personally go for my favorite if given a choice.

I've had them both and love them both. Hopper's house exterior is awful though (to me) so I don't think I'll have him as long as Ken. I like his interior though. Ken's whole design style is perfect as one would expect of a smug ninja chicken.

If you haven't had Hopper in ACNH, maybe bring him on and then get Ken back later if you miss him.

They are different personalities, but by "extra male" I presume you have another Smug so personality is not a point of consideration?

In such case, i'd say go with Hopper. He's a very underrated cranky.... because the penguins are generally underrated as a species

something else to consider, if you care, is their house exteriors. Ken will fit better if you are going for a Asian/Japanese vibe, but I think Hopper's house exterior fits a wider range of aesthetics.
