your first house payment is 19,800 bells. After you pay this off you will be offered your 1st expansion which just makes your house have more floor space you will then owe nook a grand total of 120,000 Bells After this is payed off your 2nd expansion will be 248,000 bells
Then you get a 2nd floor which you will owe 368,000 Bells on again after you pay this off you will be offered yet another expansion which just happens to be your last one
the last expansion you are offered is a basement and you will owe 598,000 bells on that
Once your house is fully upgraded and all that you can change your house's flag. To do so you use the telephone in your attic to call Rover and pick a different pattern.
