How are you prepping for the game?

I redecorated my whole real life room. Got everything organized and nice so that when the game comes out, I don?t have to worry about messes. I?m brainstorming map ideas now. I got the town name and islander names all set though. I made sure to preorder both the switch and game. Also took a couple of days off work from the 20-23.

That’s a good idea, I should tidy my room beforehand so that I have a fresh and organized play-space.. always helps a peace of mind!
I asked off work too for the 20th at least... too broke to afford more (‘:

I had one brainstorming session with myself where I just wrote down some general theme and color ideas for my island. my new leaf town's theme is pastel, pink, spring, cherry blossoms, etc, and for my new horizons island I think I want to do something different and go with bold summer colors. so I just put a few colors together on my computer for inspiration but ultimately im waiting until the game comes out to really decide what theme im gonna do, because this will probably be inspired also by the type of items available.

I bought the AC Switch even though I already have a switch LOL. So I?m gonna be transferring over data. I am taking 2 weeks off of work and one week is spring break so I won?t be going to classes either so I can just relax and play. I will most likely just buy a bit of wine and make sure that my house is clean, laundry is done, etc. :)

And then the night of the release, my friends and I are doing an animal crossing party! It?ll be potluck style and we will all hang out at my place (since I have the biggest couch lol) and play!!! :3

Lots of overlap with what others have already said?getting some rl chores out of the way and making some basic decisions about my Island & playstyle:

? spring cleaning (and decorating!)
? catching up / getting a head start on class assignments
? jotting down ideas for my layout
? making some guidelines for use of amiibo cards
? choosing my priorities (Villagers? Fruit? Airport color? River location? etc.)

I?m on Spring Break for the next week, so I?ll have a good amount of time to think things through. My main focus is on figuring out exactly what I want?and will be looking for in an Island?so that I can minimize reset times and don?t run into the risk of regretting my choice further down the line.

That aside, I?m constantly thinking about the game, grasping for more info, and well, being here I guess? I?ve had my Island name picked for over a year now, but I keep writing down more just for fun (and presumably as an outlet for my fixation on the game). Maybe I?ll add them to that thread on names for others to use.

I?m trying to decide what I want my native fruit to be but theres so much I cant only think of one thing!

Playing new leaf, watching old new leaf videos, viewing/watching/reading every little new information I can get on the game, and just waiting in general is enough.

Hang in there, 12 days shouldn?t be that long... ._.

oh there's so much i'm planning to do. : )

- i am going to buy a switch lite to actually play the game.
- i'm going to prepare a bullet journal just for ac, i remember doing it for new leaf and i discontinued it.
- i NEED to clean my room, it's so messy and i need to have a comfy and neat environment to play the game.
- i'm planning to buy a small printer so that i could print new horizons screenshots and stick them up on my room wall my homework.
- i have two full chocolate bars leftover from my birthday that i've saved just for the release evening (i'd have to go after school to get my pre-order for the game).
- i'm practicing how to make good coffee so i could pull an all-nighter playing new horizons.
- my exams finish by friday so i'd be absolutely free. autumn break is coming up soon too so i'm very hyped. : D

unfortunately not many people around my area play animal crossing (or even know about it in the first place), so i'm not planning a fun release party like everybody else is. but i'm still forever happy that the game release date is nearing.

I started prepping by coming back to belltree after years and years away! For some reason, I thought the game releases this coming Friday so I'm a week early. I didn't want to get hyped too early because it makes the wait torturous, but it's too late now!

I already set my stuffs needed before the game releases. I already pre-ordered my ACNH Switch Edition + Game plus i just bought a capture card (which isn't ElgatoHD60 because it's too expensive for my wallet) so i can record and show you guys my progress on developing my island

not really prep, just how i'm filling the void while i wait for new horizons. i'm consuming as much info on new horizons as possible. watching the direct over and over and all the videos that come out.

^this^ :)

I went through all of the villagers and made a spreadsheet with their Name, Species, and Personality. Then I put them into "tiers":

Ones that I love, ones that I like, ones that I'm indifferent to, and finally the ones that I dislike.

My hope is to not get any ones I dislike on my island, so I plan to reset until the 2 starting villagers are not any that I dislike. There's 50 villagers on this dislike list. Mainly because I just don't like their appearance, but some have made it on there due to me not liking them in previous games as a kid (especially Buck and Mathilda...)

That's all the resetting I'll do at the start. I'll also reset for peaches, cherries, or apples too, but I'd be fine with pears honestly if I started out with villagers that I absolutely love. I do NOT want oranges lol, had them in my first town ever in CF, and I hate oranges in real life :p

Taking off from school on March 20th. I'm calling it my Mental Health day because that's what it honestly is. I'm making sure I have all my work finished so I can relax and focus on the game for the whole entire weekend.
I finally figured out what I want to name my character and island~ So i'm excited for that.
I've been thinking of a theme for my town, but I'm really not sure what I want to accomplish as a "theme" exactly, so I'll probably go for a comfy-cozy feel for my island.
Lastly, I've been planning how I want my house to look and whether I want it big or small.

Animal Crossing is all i've been thinking about for the past three weeks--

I made use of a pattern converter years back during the beginning of New Leaf so I could recreate the older patterns using the New Leaf colors. I found some patterns I didn't convert and I don't remember the website I used. I've been trying to find that website for a couple weeks, but not having success. I may have to settle on "close enough".

I think thulinma was one that was posted here, it’s maybe what you are looking for?

I am working on my journal. Trying to get it ready for when the game comes out. There is a lot of things I forgot about New Leaf when I first started that I wish I remembered so with the journal it is nice that I can write everything down.

Mostly I'm just staring at this now
