For me, a girl at my school brought her ds in and showed me the game and let me play her town for a while. After about half an hour I was hooked and asked for my own game! I?ve loved the series ever since!

For Holidays and just for fun, I always went over to one of these cousins I have's home. When I was very young, I was saw them all playing Population Growing on Game Cube, and I and my brother decided to get that game for our Game Cube. Since then, I've loved Animal Crossing.

I honestly have no idea, I was so young but it has stuck with me since so I still play :)

I was very young when I got Wild World and I didn't know any english so I had no clue on what to do. Then years later, I decided to try it again (now being able understand everything) and it was all downhill from there...

I was a kid watching my brother play on the GC and wanted to try it out myself! Have played every game besides WW.

When I was younger I saw one of my cousins play wild world on the ds. I was very interested in it but never really had the chance to play an ac game until new leaf when I got my 3ds xl.

There was a demo at an electronics store and I got immediately hooked.

I got into Animal Crossing because of my brother. He got Animal Crossing for the GameCube shortly after I had moved into my own apartment. I still visited home every Saturday night to do laundry and I would play games with my brother while I was there. So he let me set up my own town on his spare memory card. I never had my own GameCube, but I would spend hours in my town every Saturday when I visited. My mom, my brother and I would all gather to listen to K.K. sing. It was a lot of fun.

I lost my town when my brother sold his GameCube and I didn't get back into Animal Crossing until New Leaf. My return to the game was thanks to Chuggaconroy's Let's Play. My husband started watching it and the nostalgia got to me. I picked up a copy of New Leaf and I've been playing daily ever since then.

i don't remember how i learned of it, but back when i was a little kid, i got animal crossing wild world. maybe it was a christmas present? maybe i saw a commercial for it and it looked cute? i dunno. but that hooked me on it! i bought every new title since, and even went back and got the gamecube version.

my uncke got my sister and i three games for the wii, one being animal crossing let's go to e city. i didn't play much at first but my friend talked about playing it so i tried it out but didn't play much. then when summer came about i brought our wii with us to the place we stay during the summers and played basically every single day. when i got home i barely played, but the next summer i did the same thing again. this was around 2012-2013. then, in spring of 2015 i got a 3ds and animal crossing new leaf for my birthday and got obsessed with it

We were looking for good ds games back in 2005, and Wild World looked like the perfect game.

It was back then. :)

My now ex best friend introduced it to me. We both got ACNL (she played the older games but ACNL was my first one) on the same day at the mall in July 2015 and then later we Skyped and played together lol. She named her town Olivine and I named my Wisteria (later restarted it and named it Illura). I've honestly never poured more hours into a single game in my life and I'm really looking forward to ACNH! <3

my mother got me wild world and a ds for christmas one year and the rest is history c:

I played pok?mon on a friend?s 3DS, then I wanted my own console so I got one, but at the time there were no new games to play on it. So that same friend suggested Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
I came into it really late, it was 2016 and pretty much everyone already stopped playing haha.

I wanted a game where I could go fishing to relax and someone suggested it to me.

When I was a kid, I saw my friend playing Wild World during a trip we went on together. I was like “oh! That’s neat,” but I didn’t buy the game myself. It wasn’t until 2015 when a different friend of mine mentioned he got New Leaf, so I decided I would get it too! :) Worth it!

I saw edits/clips of it on Tumblr and thought it looked really fun and cute, so I asked for it for my birthday the year it came out when I was in high school. I was so confident that I would like it that I also asked for a second one for my sister!

(I also have played pokemon my whole life (my sister also) so "gaming" wasn't foreign to us and like I said I was pretty confident we would like it)

I don’t know if anyone here remembers or has ever watched the wiiviewer. Back in the day he did a review of City Folk, and the game really looked cool to me. Especially the city, I don’t know what it was about it that drew me in but I thought the idea of going to a city was just awesome.

I saved up my money and walked into Toys R Us fully intending to buy a copy of The Sims. Once in the store I saw Animal Crossing and remembered hearing somewhere that 'it was kinda like the sims'. I decided I wanted to try a brand new game and got it instead. Plus I wanted another memory card for my Gamecube, and it came with one! Little did I know....

So glad I did, Animal Crossing is way more fun for me than The Sims. Can't go fishing in The Sims.
