Go to a mystery island at night (any island will work). Chop down all the trees, pick all the flowers (don't dig up), and break all the rocks. Then tarantulas will spawn every couple minutes. Fill up your pockets (get the 40 item inventory with Nook miles). Go home and sell them. I leave all my tools on the island so I can bring back 39 each time, then just make new tools. That's 312,000 per trip. It's this game's version of beetle hunting on the New Leaf island.
