LOL, I like that dude!
i need this made into a movie now. lock, stock, and two smoking roaches..."mind your language in front of the nymph!"...just a less musical more violent version of joe's apartment.

I love bugs, my favorites being praying mantises and bumblebees. The only varieties I don't care for are spiders, earwigs, and centipedes, though I won't kill any of them and prefer to just take them outside!
I agree with you re: mosquitoes though. Those aren't bugs; those are just whining disease factories that can stay FAR away from me unless they like being unapologetically swatted.
do you just open and toss or do you walk to the grass and gently place it down? cuz my oldest sis like flings them but she also prefers to kill them while me and my other sis like to catch and let go.
number one buggy buddy?
wasps are mean and scary so i 100% don't blame you. i got stung in the palm of my hand once by one cuz it fell from a light onto my head and i reached up then bam! ugh. you are stronger than i for being able to smoosh/kill em though. i am weak to tiny things.I hate bugs- they're irritating and disgusting, especially ants, wasps, flys, spiders, etc. All the household annoyances. I squish/spray them as soon I catch them mooching in my house. Last summer I went on a huge wasp genocide. They got into my house through the windows. Every morning, I'd have to spray 8-10 of them large buggers. I don't even question why I hate bugs so much.
you are the spider queen!!! jk but really wow thats really cool i wish i could do that so bad as i think alot of em are cool looking but i grew up down south (i'm up north now) and bugs are HUGE there. there was a banana spider (it was a shiny blue/green and yellow orb weaver of some sort but it's guts were yellow cuz one of the neighbor kids smooshed the poor thing so we called em banana spiders.) i would watch it all the time because it built it's web outside our living room window but it scared the beejibus outta me cuz of how big it was and i saw it eat things...big things..but it was pretty. have you named your spider kingdom?I love them and often to the terror of my husband will scoop spiders I recognize as non poisonous up in my hands and quietly admonish them for skittering out into the open where my husband with smoosh them, then escort them outside to my garden.
Poisonous ones are taken into a cup and escorted out.
As a result I have a bush outside covered in webs, and sometimes one will be on the window looking out from where I wash my dishes.
I bid them "salutations!" if I see them as I work.
Everyone else in my house is terrified of spiders and have decided I am simply certifiable, but appreciate that I will escort spiders out of their space.
My mom often tells this one story about me as a little girl. We were in the car and in a voice that she mistook as fearful rather than excited, I pointed out a spider that had found it's way onto my clothes. She smooshed it immediately and hurled it out the window. I bawled and accused her of killing my "friend" and barely apoke to her for a week after! XD
lolz i don't much care for the creepy ones but they are fun to watch, the fluffy ones ohh yes please big ol fluff butts chomping on leafs. what ones do you enjoy most? This is funny cause I've actually been thinking about this lately.
I love bugs! All kinds of bugs! Even if the bug is creepy crawly like a spider? I love that bug! Big bugs, small bugs, fluffy bugs, chirpy bugs. I love me some bugs!! I just can't stand them touching me, it freaks me out. They're allowed to be anywhere as long as it's not in physical contact with me.
However, flies and crane flies are both the worst things in the world and I hate them. They are not valid.
nothing pathetic at all about being scared of em. there is a reason to be tbh as some are meant to be feared and kept away from. just means while some of us are going "awww" at some new cute but deadly bug you'll be on a nope boat to safety.i?m lowkey terrified of them - pathetically so, might i add. the only bugs i can tolerate are ants, ladybugs, caterpillars, butterflies (though, those are technically the same) and any other small insect.
spiders and centipedes terrify me the most, however lmao
edit: i forgot about bees and wasps. one comes flying at me and i practically zoom away lmao
thats pretty cool. oh yeah same i mean spiders scare me but i admire them and they keep me safe. only time i move them is if they get too close. they know the rules...i'm pretty sure the same spider that i evicted a week ago is back. they chill by my computer by the window and catch the intruders before they get far. if not the same one probably offspring. but if we make eye contact again i gotta show em the door.I find them to be interesting and beautiful in their own ways, as with any other creature. I'm doing my own thing, they're doing theirs, it's all good (so long as they're not going to give you a disease, like a mosquito or tick). Generally if an insect is in the house, I'll take it outside rather than kill it, unless it's some sort of pest like an ant or fly or something, which get smashed on sight.
I've frequented a website for a number of years now that has made articles about various types of bugs, parasites, etc., and as such, I've grown to appreciate them more. Also, a good friend has been raising mantids for a couple years now and his enthusiasm about them is nice.
I tend to leave spiders alone because they're going to be eating any other household bugs.
All that said, for as much as I respect most of them, I don't want bugs touching me physically. I could probably get over that with some practice, but my automatic impulse is discomfort.
OH MY LOOOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOO I WANNA HOLD ONE NOW!!!!!! LOOK AT THOSE CUTE BEANS!!!! i've never seen one where i live but oh if i find one i wanna hold it now. i looked it up for where i am...only one dang type and only in September and October. =( poooh geez that's tough
ebony jewelwing (damselfly)
and the dwarf scarlet dragonfly
we have giant pondhawks around here, so I'm pretty partial to those, too, lol
Helena morpho
They are annoying. Especially crane flies and ticks can be eradicated all they want. Also I hate those small spiders with long legs. I don't care what people think swat those and above without hesitating.
(also to anyone thinking they deserve to live, can i remind you about asambaddha adharma).

Then we of course have some beauty bugs like butterflies and dragonflies and such but since the main bugs I encounter are like crane flies and wasps yeah not my thing really
i used to have a huge fear of bugs even flies they were just so disgusting to me i remember when my dad was taking me home with his van and he used to go fishing a lot and his friend left maggots at the back for ages so they grew into flies and escaped and at the front was just this tiny little space with flies just everywhere swarming around me so i covered myself and cried
oh no that just sounds horrid =( i'm so sorry that happened. how did you get over your fear? i eased mine by watching videos and reading information....also lucas the spider kinda helped too...darn the cuteness.
Awww, Lucas the Spider is so adorable! My husband bought me a Lucas talking plushie last year. It's soooo cute!
I respect them, but I dont like them. bugs have a purpose within their ecosystem, as long as their ecosystem isn't inside my house...
nope not really lol I generally dislike all bugs, like even butterflies. I mean, butterflies are "pretty," and there are other "pretty" bugs, I just dont like any bug around me or especially on me. they make me uncomfy, I can only tolerate them from a distance. but like I said, though I hate bugs, I know that they are necessary and have a purpose (I took a lot of ecology classes in college).is there one you dislike the most? or like the most? at least to look at.
