How do you feel when villagers change their original clothing?

Don't really have such a big problem with it actually, sometimes my villagers ending up wearing a shirt which looks much better on them than their original shirt. I hate it however when my villagers would wear those default designs from Able Sister's. They look in fact weird on them (except for that simple white shirt, that's kinda ok), hence why I switch them out with umbrellas so that my villagers aren't able to wear them.

As for catchphrases, it's the same. I don't have a problem if they change it over the time.

I don't really mind it. Sometimes if they look really good in their original shirt or their original catchphrase is cute I'll be sad, but at the same time it is interesting seeing what clothing they put on and I like making them all say "kracko".

I only change their catchphrases if I can think of someting good. Usually I can't though, anf half my town is saying OwO now. I also don't like when they wear the default Able Sisters designs, I need to make my own for them to wear lol

I don't mind. In fact, I'm glad they're able to change clothes. Sometimes it gets boring seeing them wear the same thing all the time.

I just don't like it when they change clothes into something that looks hideous on them.

I'm fine with it, until a favourite villager does it. Pekoe changed, and I mailed her some of her original clothes. I didn't realise she would simply display the shirt in her house *facepalm*. I think it's actually kinda cute, in a way. You can tell it's still her favourite shirt hehe

It drives me absolutely nuts, but I'm over it at this point.

I remember Lobo being the first to do this when I only had four wolves long ago, and the one he picked just seemed to suit him? And it was fine and that was that. Then at some point when I started collecting the girl wolves, someone copied Kyle which was cute but not what I wanted, and I swear they just kept going with being dissatisfied with what they were wearing because I know before hiatus I had a few of them in gym clothes out of rage. Then when I moved everyone to hold while recreating my town last month I messed up and let the default Able clothes up too long and things really fell apart.

In the new town I have them all in a row so they had a lot easier time talking to each other and copying each other, which was more okay once I got the right clothes back into the mix. Still some work to go, but I'm more okay with them not being in their originals so long as they're in something I feel suits them. I've finally gotten a handle on not mailing them clothes (and even rescued a great number of those that didn't work), but carrying them around and only giving them as a trade - I've found they typically change into them right after it if it's a trade. Also realized they seem to take the items better if they're already tanktops, although I'm pretty sure they do just cut the sleeves off if it's a normal shirt?

Kyle to this day is the only one who has maintained his awesome leather jacket and I continually pray it stays that way.

Was not expecting to have that much of a response on the matter....

Disappointed usually.
Both because it's near guaranteed to look worse than the original, and because I find it upsetting that there's no simple solution to fixing it: not only can't we have the change undone at Town Hall, but if we send them a new shirt its highly likely it'll end up as interior decor instead (which is just a double offense at that point lol)

I don't necessarily mind them changing clothes or catchphrases. I mind not being able to change them back

I'm too lazy tbh to keep all the time an eye on my villagers if they changing their clothes or
catchphrases, so I just let them do their thing.

It depends. Sometimes I have a specific colour that I want the villager to wear. If they're wearing anything different...bleh.

Some of them I really like their original clothing and I don?t want them to change, so I keep suggesting the same outfit to them (like cherry).
I?ve found some really funny improvements, though. Like when Leonardo (my jock cheetah) put on a bear shirt and it made his belly looked really round while he talked about how buff he was
I don?t mind changing the catchphrases as much, although I wish they wouldn?t ask to change them so often. I like when they keep one for a while.
I made all my villagers say ?squanch? as their catchphrase so they all have the same. I don?t know if anyone here will get that joke but it?s really funny to me
